Chapter 12

I take a big breath and try to get all the power I have left. Leon lets me down so he will be ready to strike when I'll tell him and as I try to move the monsters with my telekinesis my body starts hurting a little, but I keep up. I only move one monster at a time though because trying to move more would be just torture for me, especially with my situation right now. I make a monster move but it got a police man with it so Leon goes and cuts half of its arms and then slashes the monster. We do the same process for about 3 more monsters. This got me extremely tired because I used up all of my energy to activate my telekinesis. Leon then rushes over me to see if I am okay.

-Artemis! Can you move?

I turn a little my head as I was laying on the ground to look at him.

- I think I can move...

I say and try to get up but I can't. Leon looks at me with a worried look and picks me up.

-What are you doing?!

I said as he was running, while having no idea where he was going.

-I'm getting you somewhere safe. Then, I'll go and fight by myself.

-What?! No! You can't do that! It's too dangerous!

-What other option do we have?

I didn't reply. This was indeed our last chance. Leon arrives at the hospital, so that's where he was getting me.

-No matter what, don't try to get out okay?

He said.

-Fine...

He then took me in and the nurses took care of me. "How am I going to explain this to my parents" was all I was thinking, cause they have no idea I am the superhero of Thessaloniki. If they find out, I am done. There's no way they will let me continue doing it and I don't blame them. That's the only reason I don't want them to know, otherwise I would have already told them about it. As the nurse put me on the hospital bed, she politely asked me

-Is it okay if you take off your costume? We can't do anything if you will be wearing it.

-It's okay I guess...but can I at least keep my mask on?

-I'm afraid no...your face needs some care, you have wounds...

-Alright, it can't be helped then...

-Don't worry, I won't tell anyone about it, I will keep it only to myself.

She said and did a movement as if she was zipping her mouth. I trusted her, she seems kind, I don't think she's gonna tell anyone who I am. Then we took my costume off and she started examining me.

Meanwhile, Leonidas had rushed into finding if there are any enemies or monsters left. Sadly for him, there was. Leonidas was smart enough to go into less "popular" places of the town since we fought at the center of Thessaloniki. He didn't know the roads of the town though, so the way he did it was with Angela's and Lucy's help, through teleportation. The sight was awful. Mothers trying to protect their children, some people running and some have been already killed. Leon first aimed for saving a mother and her child that was about to be killed. He ran as fast as he could to save the baby, but unfortunately it was too late...the baby was killed and eaten in front of its mother's eyes, she started screaming and crying. Leon was extremely socked too. He let out a loud shout and caught the mother and carried her. He let her under some stairs so she could hide and not get hurt. Then he rushed over to kill any monster in sight. Before he did, he yelled

-EVERYONE! GO AND HIDE UNDER THERE AND BE SAFE! I WILL TAKE CARE OF THIS!

Everyone started running to where he told them and just watched in silence. Thankfully for Leon, there were only 2 monsters left.

-Angela, can you hear me?

-Yes.

-Give me the power of explosion and a sword for a weapon.

-But I gave you a sword before, what happened to it?

-I left it behind when I was getting Artemis to the hospital.

-Alright then, here you go!

Leon got what he asked for. Then he tried to see what's the best way to make his plan work. He had to get somewhere high and attack from above. With the corner of his eye, he saw a house that had some walls surrounding it, so he went up there. Waited a few seconds for the perfect moment to strike, and when it came he jumped on the monsters head and with the power he got, explosion, he let out a scream and exploded the monster's head. As soon as he did that he jumped off the monster so he won't get hurt. The people watching him were socked with what they just saw. As Leon jumped off the monster, the other one was pretty close so he took out the sword and stabbed on its back so he could get on top of that other monster. Then he did the same thing as before and as he landed on the ground, the monsters would shiver a little bit so Leon finished them of with his sword. As soon as this ended, everyone ran towards him to thank him.

-Without you we would have all died, thank you!

-Yeah, I am sorry I didn't make it earlier, none of these people would have died if I did...

He said looking at the killed people.

-Don't worry about it, you still saved us.

They said.

-Glad to help. I am sorry, but I got to go now.

-Bye, young man!

Leon waved at them and left. He went into the hospital to see what had happened to Artemis.
