"Hey buddy," I called out to my son as he stepped out of his room. He didn't even acknowledge me, but it's not like I expected him to.
He wandered into the kitchen and I took the opportunity to look into his room, it was trashed. Burn marks in the furniture, cracks in the wall, sheets on the floor, and everything thrown everywhere.
I sighed I wish I could've been here when it was happening but I was at work, by the time I got home Mitsuki had made weeks worth of meals and all I could hear was faint crashes coming from Katsuki's bedroom.
"Hey buddy, you want some ice-cream," he looked at me and nodded.
He sat down at the island as I pulled out a container of ice-cream, Mitsuki had made enough for at least 7 seasons worth of depressing finales.
"Sorry we only have mint-chip," I set a bowl in front of him, and tears immediately built up.
"You okay buddy?" he looked at the bowl and made an ugly expression as he tried to hold back obvious tears.
I sat on a stool next to him as he gripped the spoon and mumbled something.
"What's that," I put a hand on his back.
"Its.... green." He started strait up sobbing as he shoveled the ice-cream into his mouth.
"Is there something wrong with that do you want to get the food-dye?" I tries to reach for the bowl but he pulled it closer to him.
"No!..... Don't. I like it this color." I pulled my hand back.
"Okay kiddo."
His face softened as he ate the ice-cream, "Hey dad?"
"Yeah?"
"When's Deku coming back?"
I looked at his face, and my heart broke a little, I've never seen him so defeated before, "I don't think he will."
He set down his spoon as he emptied the bowl and I got up to get him more, "Why not?"
"Well, what you did was very bad. So I don't know."
"Why was it so bad?"
I turned around and set another bowl of the green treat in front of him, "Well Izu-kun can't find another mate now, and his mother is especially sensitive to this type of thing, so its extra bad."
"But I don't want him to find another mate."
"Katsuki," he looked up, "It's not about what you want. It's what Izu-kun wants. Did he want you as his mate?"
He gaped, "I.....I don't know. I-I just assumed."
"Katsuki I know your the type of kid who takes what you want just based on what you think, you're like your mother in that aspect," he opened his mouth to say something but I cut him off, "But, you have to think of other people, especially if your taking something as important as what you did. Because taking something that's not yours is a crime but if you ask you can have it with less effort and people will think better of you. And I want people to think better of you, because you're the best."
"Thanks," he pushed the bowl away, "I guess you aren't as useless as I thought." I laughed.
"Oh and Katsuki," I put a hand on his back to keep him from leaving, "If you want to see Izu-kun again why don't you fulfill your promise to him." He looked at me confused as if to say, what promise?
"Didn't you two want to be heroes together?"
