We walk back out to the table where our family sits. My dad looks at me, concerned. I look into his eyes. Confusion and concern take over his brown eyes, as if he's mentally asking, "Are you okay?" I nod at him. His eyes light up and he looks back at the menu. I could tell why he's confused. My face is probably red as a tomato.

"So how is school going Amber?" Ms. Grayson questions me out of the blue causing me to jump.

"Uhm...still A's mostly...still a B in science though." I manage to get out.

"That's good." she smiles, "Maybe You could tutor Emily so she get higher than a C."

"Mom!" Emily growls.

Everyone laughs but me. I nervously smile. I still am scared to tell Emily.

"Hello, my name is Maddie." a waitress randomly appears, "can I get you a drink and any appetizers?"

"Yes, I'll take a decaf vanilla cappuccino. Sugar please, no cream." Emily immediately blurts out.

"Alright and you miss?" Maddie asks me.

"I will just have a water." I shyly say.

"Any lemon?"

"No thank you."

"And you sir?"

"Coke?" my dad asks.

"I will take what he's having." Ms. Grayson says.

"Me too!" Brandon, Emily's little brother shouts.

Everyone laughs. Including Maddie and I. "Chocolate milk for him." Ms. Grayson says quietly to Maddie so the 4 year old won't hear, and he didn't.

Maddie quickly nods while writing down the order. "Appitizers?"

"No thank you." my dad politely says.

Maddie rushes off.

We all just chat about many things. First sports and school and then somehow we end up jabbering about celebs. I don't even know.

Maddie greets us. "Here are your drinks." she places the drinks in their spots, "now what are we eating tonight?"

We all make our order and Maddie rushes off. Again we start our conversation about Shay Mitchell and then some how end up talking about the 1700's. What? Even I'm confused!

Maddie gets us our food and we eat. We don't talk much. Just eat. We were all hungry.

Once done shoving our faces, my dad pays and we are headed home.

Emily breaks the silence, "Mom, can I stay at Amber tonight?" Shit.

"Of course, but tonight's a school night so you need to stop home first to get your things."

"I will make sure they get to bed early." my dad smirks.

"Yay!" Emily smiles.

"Awesome!" I lie.

I have to tell her tonight.
