(This part of the story will be told from mostly Jayden's side as a filler, enjoy~)
Jayden arrived back at the lab, checking on the incubating eggs. went back to the lab, first to check on the eggs. He tried to ignore the ginger-haired female who was nearly skipping in his direction, as he had a very good idea of what she was about to ask. Of course, it was about Hae instead of the work they were given. Jayden didn't need a clearer idea of how much she actually despised Hae since she had a major crush on Jayden, refusing to let the girl "interfere with their relationship". But to Jayden, everything was one-sided, and it was all on the ginger's side.
"So, how's it going with Haesook?~" She cooed, letting out a very loud (and most likely fake) when the blonde male flinched at her sudden booming of a voice. He gave no response since he felt the blood rush to his cheeks, refusing to give in to the ginger. Plus, even if he did, she'd say the same thing.
"Awww, you like her!~" She almost yelled.
"I do not!" Jayden protested beginning to hate the female even more. Yet it made him really think; was he really falling for Hae? Or was she just a distraction? He's barely had the time (or energy) to even think about himself as far as his feelings towards others. How could he be falling for such a naive and consistent girl like her? She rambled too much, and always got on his nerves. Not a chance.
"Hmmm. . . Then why did you just deny it? Denying the truth won't do you any justice Jay~" Jayden rolled his eyes in response, finding this argument a waste of his breath. So, he chose to tune her out instead.
The temperature for these eggs isn't right, it's too warm. Jayden pondered, carefully adjusting the temperature to a more habitable one, refusing to let miserable and overheated dinosaurs take over the park; boy would that be a hellish mess. Once that was fixed, he went further into the lab, scanning his id to enter, his body freezing when the head scientist with the same bloodline as Jayden stood at the entrance. No one but these two knew they were family, so keeping their work and personal problems separate was one of many challenges for them, especially for Jayden, since Dr. Kim was the main reason he was trapped on this island, to begin with.
"Lily, I need you to leave. I'd like to speak to Dr. Kim alone." Jayden demanded, watching the ginger walk off quickly, his tone scaring her away.
"Dr. Kim." Jayden looked back at his uncle, a disgusted glare in his eyes, not wishing to speak to his idiotic relative.
"Jayden. I'd like to speak to you." The doctor stepped closer to the younger, locking eyes with each other.
"So do I," Jayden replied nonchalantly.
"I understand you and Haesook attempted to change the hybrid, yes?"
"That is correct. I know damn well you were the one who tranquilized us." Jayden growled.
"Now, now, you shouldn't act like this h-"
"I don't care! I thought you would've learned the first time from the raptor the broke free from that egg! You should've known it was going to be disastrous! You made a hybrid, hoping for better attractions, but you killed more people!"
"Jayden-"
"No! Hae and I changed the hybrid because we're trying to FIX YOUR MISTAKES! I have been on this island for 6 fucking years because of you! Sure, I've been passionate about dinosaurs like you, but never would I try to recreate them! If I did, then I'd make sure the dinosaurs knew how to stay inside their enclosures! I'd never make hybrids and see how dangerous they'd be!" Jayden was on the verge of crying, managing to hold back the stinging feeling in his eyes. he was finally able to burst, but he already felt so tired of holding everything together. Once he caught his breath, he continued, "Look, all I'm saying is that the worst things come with the best intentions. I know you wanted to help recreate animals that lived millions of years ago, but these dinosaurs have no idea what we are, let alone what to do with us. All I'm asking is for you to stop trying to play God. I thought you would've learned that by now." After that, Jayden walked off without giving a chance for his uncle to respond.

The day was finally over, and Jayden was able to see the one person who made his day, and that was Hae. He was so stressed and tired, all he wanted now was a hand to hold and maybe a shoulder to cry on.
"So, how'd it go?" Hae asked with hesitation, already able to tell he blew up and cooled down. He refused to look at her, recalling the unwanted memories of what happened hours before.
"Not sure. . . I uh-- I'd like to speak with you alone. . ." He mumbled. To Hae, his words were still clear to her. With a simple nod, the male led her to his dorm this time, Hae's cheeks now aflame from feeling shy, not used to this.
"I know I've seen like a. . . . ."
"An asshole?"
"If- Hey that's rude." Jayden huffed, pouting as she giggled, knowing she was trying to lighten up the mood somewhat.
"I was kidding." Hae playfully smirked, the duo knowing she was right.
"This plan might have taken the wrong turn. I told Dr. Kim what I wanted to, and just walked away. . ." His voice slowly became lower with sadness, Hae catching on pretty fast.
"You didn't give him a chance to speak?"
"No. . . I felt so mad at the time my emotions took over. . ." Now, the sudden urge to cry came along and was trying to consume Jayden.
"Still, if we get punished, just remember we're doing the right thing and saving lives," Hae reassured, "Jayden listen to me, it's gonna be okay. We'll get off of this island together, I promise." At this point, Jayden nodded and let his short blonde locks cover his cat-like eyes. Hae pulled him into a sympathetic hug, rubbing his back in a comforting manner.
"I'm sorry about all of this. . . I shouldn't have dragged you into my problems. . ." He started, voice becoming a bit shaky from the tears beginning to roll down his soft face.
"Jayden, I said it'll be okay. We all get days where we snap and become emotional. I get it. Just remember, that nothing is your fault and you're not alone in this, okay?" Hae's voice was soft, breaking on the inside since she's never seen him like this. She continued to rub his back in circles, resting her chin on the top of his head.
Jayden was trying to stop the tears, but with the girl holding him, her comforting arms made it difficult to hold anything back. For the first time, Jayden felt vulnerable but also grateful she was so caring, even to him, after snapping at her so many times.

It was getting dark, and Hae never let go of the tired male, making sure she never let him go until he was finished.
"Haesook." He called, stopping her from turning the doorknob to leave.
"Hm?" She let go of the knob, turning to look at the very drained male seated on his bed, his pinkish puffy eyes finding her hazel ones.
"Thank you. For comforting me, and helping me with this. I promise you that you'll meet the other dinosaurs before you leave, okay?" He spoke with a softened tone, never taking his eyes off of her.
"Sounds good. And hey, if you ever need anything, you know where to find me." Hae replied with a small smile, feeling her cheeks warm up.
"Thanks again. If you ever come across him, don't say a word. Let me take care of that."
"Yessir", She nodded, swerving on her heels to exit the room.
Jayden never wanted to admit it, but maybe Lily was right. He thought a bit too hard about this, but everything went the same answer, and he felt he was starting to fall for her. But what mattered now is if she liked him back. If at all.
Thanking me. . .That's a first. . . . Hae began to overthink, hoping he didn't hit his head or something too hard from being tranqued. She walked back to her dorm, slapping her burning cheeks to calm her racing heart. This wasn't supposed to happen at all.
Maybe. . .Maybe I do love her after all. . . Jayden thought, looking at his lock screen with a little smile, feeling genuinely happy for the first time in years.
