Jayden managed to distract the animal, rushing to grab an unconscious Hae and sprinting out in time before it even had a chance to sink its teeth into him.  Guilt slowly began to eat him by now, looking down at Hae in his arms, not realizing he had put her in so much danger. He couldn't even find the courage to lecture her on this, knowing it would either be pointless or she'd find yet another way to prove she was right once again. In a way, he understood where her curiosity came from since he was once the same, but he couldn't stand by knowing that she could've died back there.

Though this wasn't the end; now it was his turn to do something for her. Once he was far enough, he pressed onto his earpiece, "Code 19! Code 19 at paddock 8!"

Everyone in the control room began to alert the visitors, some contacted the animal control unit, while the rest tried to make sure the other paddocks were locked and secured.

"Come to the control room now. We're taking care of everything and Hae doesn't seem like she can run, so let her rest here." A female voice said, speaking through the earpiece. Jayden didn't waste a second running her to a safer place to help you recover. The Ceratosaurus, however, was running around the island as people tried to run away. Some weren't that lucky.

Her leg is bleeding badly. . . She might not. . . Jayden shook his head in disbelief, ridding the thought of her possibly dying. He wouldn't believe it. Plus knowing her, she wouldn't die from a wound like that. Getting a burst of determination, he gave her another glance before running out of the room, prepared for the best and worst that could happen.

~~~~~~
Hae slowly opened her eyes, the drowsiness striking again. This feels familiar. Though this time, her body ached, mostly her leg from the wound. Once getting a better understanding of her surroundings, she looked in the direction Jayden was sitting, his leg nervously bouncing when talking to another male, his voice unfamiliar to her.
Jayden?. . .  My head- She thought, trying to muster up enough strength to sit up, even though it was pointless. Hissing in pain, she caught the eye of the two, Jayden nodding for the doctor to exit for the time being.
"Just relax. Get some more rest." He reassured. Choosing peace, she decided to remain silent to listen to him for a change, trying to relax through the pain firing through every limb, muscle, nerve, and cell of her weakened body. But one thing she did notice was the fact that he wasn't in the best condition also, the bandages here and there made it easy to realize.
I wonder what happened. . . Maybe I'll ask later. . .
There was an awkward silence, Jayden choosing to end it to tell her what she missed while unconscious.
"The Cerato. . . It broke free. . ." He mumbled, shifting his gaze from her to the floor, hesitating to continue once seeing her shocked and terrified reaction.
"Thankfully, the ACU managed to contain her. . . But there were a lot of casualties. . ." Jayden raised his head, his expression grim with sorrow and worry, unsure on how she'd take this next bullet. ". . . Your mother was one of them. . ." He realized how horrible it actually came out, but he knew she needed to know somehow. But what he didn't know was that it wasn't her mother; instead, it was someone who looked almost exactly the same. He watched the female's breathing begin to quicken, looking away when hearing her sob, feeling sorry for her. As far as Jayden knew, from what she had told, those two were closer than attracted magnets; their bond was unbreakable, so he had a pretty decent understanding of how she felt.
"I'm sorry. . . I had no idea she was on this island. . ." He changed his seat from the chair to the foot of her "bed", taking her pale hand into both of his. His expression was almost unreadable, feeling sad for her, watching her dark hair cover her eyes, tears nonstop flowing down her flushed cheeks. Jayden has never seen her cry before, so figuring out a way to calm the female seemed nearly impossible to him.
