Newt's arm had healed well over the past two weeks. He didn't need a sling anymore and insisted on not wearing a bandage anywhere.

He was helping Queenie set the table for dinner when the front door opened and Jacob's head popped around the door.

"Hello! I'm home!" He called happily.

Tina emerged from her room and broke into a grin. Jacob waved a key in the air.

"Now I don't have to knock when I come home from the bakery," he announced proudly.

Newt chuckled softly and straightened a napkin.

"Hey Jacob," called Queenie.

"You're just in time for dinner!"

*5 hours later*

Newt sighed and turned onto his side. It was almost completely healed, with no trace of bruising or swelling.

Newt couldn't sleep. He normally found it difficult, but this time, it felt different.

It felt strange.

Deciding that he needed a glass of water, he slid out of bed and gingerly pushed open the bedroom door.

He was about to creep into the kitchen when he heard something thud loudly on the carpet.

Newt froze.

The sound was coming from Tina's room.

Newt wasn't sure what to do. If the Goldstein sisters were sleeping, he definitely didn't want to disturb them, but if something was wreaking havoc in there, then he needed to make sure that nobody got hurt.

Newt lingered outside the doorway for a moment, his heart in his mouth, and before he knew what he was doing, he wrenched open the door and plunged inside.

Queenie was sleeping soundly, but Tina's bed was empty. Newt frantically looked around for Tina and saw her on the floor, wrestling something small and grey-

"Dougal!" Blurted out Newt.

The Demiguise immediately looked up at he sound of his name and Tina's head snapped toward Newt at the sound of his voice.

"Oh no... Dougal, how did you get out?"

Newt stepped forward and peeled Dougal off Tina. Dougal immediately whimpered what sounded like an apology and Newt carefully placed him down on the carpet.

Tina gingerly got to her feet. Newt looked at Tina beneath his hair and he suddenly stood ramrod straight.

"Tina... you're hurt."

Tina looked down at her arm. Her wrist had an angry, swollen bite mark marring it.

"I have an ointment I could use on that to stop the swelling..." offered Newt.

He turned around and shuffled awkwardly out of the room, Dougal clinging to his arm.

Tina sighed and sank onto her bed. She glanced back at Queenie. She was still sleeping. Tina felt lucky that Queenie was a deep sleeper, but she wasn't exactly sure why.

At that moment, Newt bustled back into the room holding a little green bottle and a cloth. His Demiguise wasn't with him this time. He'd probably be curled up in his little habitat, already settling into a peaceful sleep.

Tina abruptly stood up as Newt carefully set the bottle on her bedside table.

That's when she realised he also had a bucket. Newt dropped the cloth inside and turned around again.

"What's in there?"

"Water. Just warm water. Nothing to worry about."

Tina exhaled. Nothing to worry about.

Newt indicated her wrist,

"May I?"

Tina nodded vaguely and he pulled the cloth from the bucket.

She shuddered as Newt dabbed the cloth on the swollen bite mark on her wrist.

Heat flooded Tina's veins and the pain in her arm started to disappear.

Newt dropped the cloth back into the bucket and reached for the tiny green vial on the desk.

He yanked out the cork and used a small pipette to let three drops of some kind of oil fall onto her wrist.

Relief barrelled through her as the shining orange liquid spread over the wound and settled onto her skin like a second layer.

"You'll need to wait until it dries, but other than that, you'll be able to use your wrist as if nothing ever happened," said Newt, breaking the silence.

Tina nodded quietly while Newt packed up his things.

As he turned to leave the room, Tina's voice cut through the darkness, loud but gentle.

"Thank you... Newt."

Newt felt red start to creep up his neck.

He offered a small smile in the dark.

"Consider it me paying you back for saving my life that day."

Yay! Another chapter done!

Sorry about all of the "injury healing names" but I think that Episkey suited this chapter because Tina was injured (but not a badly as Newt) and Episkey is a spell (used by Luna Lovegood in the Half Blood Prince) that heals minor wounds.

Also, I'm sorry if the initial chapters are sloppily written, because, as I said, I'm really very new to this and I'm not exactly sure what I'm doing :/ but I'm trying my best :)
