Haha three guesses what's happening in this chapter, potterheads!

Newt was preparing lunch, much to his own dismay.

The four of them were discussing childhood stories over dinner the previous day, and Newt had made the terrible mistake of telling them that he taught his brother to ice skate, and in return, he taught Newt how to make vegetable pie (which was one of the only things that Theseus knew how to make).

And that's why, twenty years later, Newt found himself trying to chop carrots with the wrong side of the knife.

Jacob looked up from his book, slightly amused.

"Wrong side of the knife, Newt," he called from the living room.

Queenie giggled.

"It's been a while," grunted Newt, growing irritated at a particularly stubborn piece of carrot.

A bloodcurdling scream made all thoughts regarding lunch fly from his head.

Queenie shot to her feet.

"That sounded like Tina!" She cried and ran from the room, followed a second later by Newt and Jacob.

Queenie burst open the door to their bedroom and found Tina with her back against the wall, breathing heavily and clutching her chest.

Newt edged his way next to Queenie.

"Tina?" tried Queenie.

Tina snapped her head towards them and her gaze darted between the trio and eventually settled on Newt.

A sob broke from her throat and she ran towards them and flung herself into Queenie's arms.

Newt took a step forward.

There didn't seem to be any threat, but it did look like there was something behind Tina's bed.

Queenie ran her hand down Tina's back in comforting strokes, and let her go after a few seconds.

"Newt..." she started.

"Newt, what is it?"

Newt took a few more steps toward the bed, and could sense Tina standing a few paces behind him.

He braced himself for whatever he was about to face and peered over he edge of the bed to find-

Himself.

Newt saw himself lying spread-eagled on his back, his eyes glazed over and unseeing.

Dead.

He was dead.

But he couldn't be, he was right there so it had to be-

"It's a Boggart," he realised.

"Tina, you found a Boggart."

He turned around to find Tina still solemnly watching it.

Queenie and Jacob both stepped to Newt's side.

"Can someone please explain what a Boggart is?" Asked Jacob to nobody in particular.

"It's a type of creature that takes the shape of whatever a person fears the most, therefore it's extremely intimidating." Explained Newt.

Newt turned around to find Tina blushing slightly. Their eyes met, and Tina was the first to pull away.

At that moment, Newt's body disappeared in a flash, causing Queenie and Jacob to stumble backwards in shock.

A wooden desk, complete with a typewriter, piles of paperwork, and a large array of writing materials sat in its place.

Newt shuddered slightly.

"Riddikulus!" He said firmly, raising his wand at it.

It transformed into a gambolling wooden dragon and flew out the window, where it disappeared in a puff of smoke.

He turned around, satisfied, to find Queenie grinning from ear to ear and Jacob with a small smile slowly blooming across his face.

"Just a Boggart," he repeated, and slipped his wand back into his pocket.

*7 Hours Later*

Queenie was reading a particularly tedious book on potions.

Her thoughts began to wander, and eventually settled on the Boggart.

She turned to look at Tina, who was sleeping with her back to Queenie.

No, she wasn't sleeping- she was just lying there.

"Psst... Teenie."

Tina turned over and cocked her head sideways at Queenie, her dark brown hair falling in her eyes.

"About that creature today..."

Tina's features hardened, and red started to bloom on her cheeks.

"What did it look like? For you?" She finished carefully.

Tina didn't reply.

"It was Newt, wasn't it?" Tried Queenie.

"He was dead," she replied, her eyes casting themselves back to the memory.

"You are afraid... of losing him," whispered Queenie.

Tina didn't reply. She looked at her hands.

Queenie continued gazing at her sister and thought about the day she had first met Jacob and Newt. It seemed like years ago, now.

Thank you guys SO much! I didn't think that this would really get noticed at all! (better publish another chapter then!) Anyways, on with my little notes on this chapter :)

TINA'S BOGGART AHH (i love this idea)

Comment :0 if you didn't expect that. Comment :) if you did.

I came up with this one a while ago, and I think it's cute >o<

Title is pretty self-explanatory XD

I think that it could be likely that Tina's Boggart is Newt's corpse (haha that might even be my Boggart), but of course, I'm just guessing. I might've gotten the idea from Molly Weasley, who's Boggart is all her sons dead, her husband dead, Harry dead... poor Molly.

Because I'm bored, I found a picture of what I thought a Niffler looked like (before I actually saw one, obviously). I was about nine when I drew this...
