"Alright, that's a wrap for today. You can go home now."

I inwardly cheered as my manager finally decided to end the practice. I felt very lethargic due to the extensive practices that I've been having every single day. It was currently 1 a.m. on a Thursday morning, and I was ready to go home and get about 3 hours of sleep. As soon as I gathered all of my things, I walked outside of the studio and began to walk home. The good thing is that I only live a few minutes away, so I didn't have to walk that far. Every step felt as if my feet were on fire, and I was sure that I was going to collapse at any moment. Regardless, I dragged my exhausted body across the street and kept walking.

For some reason, the pit of my stomach started to feel as if it was being tied into a knot. The eerie feeling washed over my entire body, and I began to feel paranoid. I looked around, but I wasn't able to identify any other living thing besides myself.

"Wow, I must be very tired. I'm even starting to imagine things," I told myself while laughing a little. I kept walking down the dark street while trying to disregard my anxious thoughts, but my restless mind couldn't focus on anything else. I began to feel extremely delusional when I started to hear footsteps behind me. I instantly stopped walking and held my breath. The air was dead silent.

I continued to walk once I realized that there was nothing there. "Jungwoo, what the hell is wrong with you?" I ran my fingers through my hair and sighed loudly. Once I was near my house, my half lidded eyes scanned the dark street. I walked up to my door, unlocked it, and quickly stepped inside. Relief filled my entire body the moment I had arrived at the familiar place. I stiffly stood in front of the door for a few seconds, before realizing that my phone had been vibrating. I took out the phone and looked at the screen.

Xuxi 💙: are you done with practice?

I smiled at the message and instantly replied.

Me: Yeah I just came home. Are you done with work?

Xuxi💙: i just finished closing the store

Xuxi💙: can I come over? we can eat some snacks together

Me: yes just call me when you get here 💕

I locked my phone and started to walk towards my room. As soon as I reached the bed, I threw myself and landed face-first on the soft pillows. It felt great to finally let my body have break after all of that nonstop practice. If it weren't for Lucas, I would've knocked out already, but I was willing to stay up if it meant seeing him.

After a few minutes of laying down, I decided to start getting ready to go to bed. I stretched my legs and lazily threw them over the edge of the matress. The cold floor under my feet sent a shiver up my spine. As I proceeded to walk towards the restroom, I heard a strange noise coming from one of the rooms. I disregarded my thoughts once again and continued to make my way towards the bathroom door. When I was about to reach for the door handle, I heard the noise again.
