The video above belongs to Smalltown Cosplay. Y'know, just a random ass Style video. Anyway, this chapter should be longer than usual, mainly because the next chapter on Tuesday will be really important in terms of this storyline and I need to cram everything needed into this chapter.
Enjoy!
----------------------------------------------------------Tweek's Pov :
I've done a lot of stressful stuff growing up. I dealt with underpants gnomes and coccaine coffee etc. However, I believe the most stressful situation I've been in is explaining to Kenny that the man who , practically, raped Karen and left her pregnant is the father of that fragile boy sitting on the bench a few metres away from us, looking down at his shoelaces.
"What?!" Kenny stiffened, he clenched his fists harshly and gritted his teeth.
"I know, just don't cause a scene here, ok?" I took a deep breath "They are shit parents and garbage human beings alright? From what Alex informed me they are usually intoxicated and high or some shit."
"I think that goes without saying." Kenny commented and I rolled my eyes.
"Listen, I need help alright?" I shut my eyes "They need to be locked up, they are dangerous people who seem to like hurting other people. Alex obviously got the worst of it and now he's being sent into a foster home."
Kenny glanced at Alex who was now fidgeting with his hands and sighed "I'll help you, but only if I get five minutes with this guy before turning him in." He stretched out his hand and I shook it.
"Deal but don't go over the top or you'll get arrested too." I warned and he shook his head.
"Worth it." He spat "May I talk with the boy for a bit."
"As long as you don't scare him." I stated and he nodded, walking towards Alex who was peacefully staring forward.
While them two were talking, I approached Craig who just finished talking to a middle aged police officer, who was writing notes down in a small notebook. After their conversation was over, Craig noticed me.
"I told him about Alex's parents." He sighed and shrugged " He said he's calling social services for him and trying to get an address for them."
I nodded "Good, though I promised Kenny a chat with the dad." I rubbed my eyes tiredly and looked over my shoulder to Kenny who was sitting next to Alex and talking quietly.
"I'm sure we can arrange something." Craig gave me a small smile "How do you think he's keeping up?"
"Who, Alex? He's fine, I think. Kenny and him seem to be bonding pretty well, they both have bad birth givers." I stated and grabbed his hand "He's a good kid."
"Yeah." He squeezed my hand reassuringly "He'll be alright, he's strong and independent for his age."
I pulled him into a hug then and he automatically hugged back, a little too tightly . He had his head in my messy blonde hair and I had my face pressed against his chest, it was a small peaceful moment for both us before we were dragged back into reality.
"Hey, love birds, come over here a second. Alex wants to talk with you!" Kenny called from the bench and waved obnoxiously.
Craig just sighed heavily and motioned for me to follow him and I obliged, my eyes shutting down from the tiredness corrupting my body. I haven't slept for officially 24 hours now.
Kenny patted my shoulder before standing up and walking towards our group of friends, specifically Butters.
Craig sat down on one end of the bench and I on the other, so that Alex was in the middle. He looked at me, his blue eyes not showing a great sadness but I could tell he was feeling down.
"What did Kenny talk to you about?" I asked, in order to start a conversation.
"He asked about my parents and then he told me about him and his family." He bit his lip "He's nice, I like him."
I chuckled, of course Alex would find Kenny's life relatable and he shouldn't. "Alex?"
"Hmm?"
Craig finished for me "Someone is being sent to pick you up soon. They put you in the care of some other people for a while, in a foster home." Craig paused "You'll be much happier there."
Alex brought his attention to Craig and stared at him " I won't need to see my parents again then?"
Craig ruffled his hair affectionately "Not if we can help it."
"OK then, I will go." He stopped abruptly and seized my hand with a firm grip "You will come visit though, right? Both of you?"
"Yeah we will kid." I replied and glanced at Craig who was also nodding.
"Then it won't be so bad." He grinned "I'll have more people to play with!"
I burst ou laughing then, wondering how he's still able to laugh and do all this after everything he's been through. He's had a bitter life, perhaps worse than Kenny's but he still has that innocent aura to him.
Neither me or Craig had time to explain as the door bust open to reveal two smart-looking people, a woman and a man. The man was wearing a suit, with a tie and everything and had his hair combed thoroughly. The woman on the other was wearing something casual, a simple cotton dress with a short petticoat over it, her hair was down and she had red shoes on.
They talked with a police officer that has been at the door since we arrived and he pointed to us. They spotted us and walked briskly towards us. Alex didn't give any signs that he felt threatened besides the fact he was shaking a bit.
The woman completely ignored us and crouched down to be on the same level as Alex, who was looking at her curiously.
"Hey there Alex, I'm Jenny." She stretched out her and Alex hesitating, shook it " You will be coming with us in a bit. We prepared a place for you at the foster home before we left and the other children are really excited to meet you."
The man indicated for us, me and Craig, to stand up so we could talk.
He pulled us into a corner of the room and spike in sharp whisper."Mr. Tweak and Mr. Tucker?" He asked and we nodded " I'm David Cameron, social agent for children in need. I've been assigned as Alex Hill's new agent. " He took a breath "He will be staying in the care of a foster home, not far from here and since I heard that you've been taking care of him since abandoment, I thought you should know that I will be mainly responsible for him from now on."
"Does that mean you know anything about his parents? Maybe their whereabouts?" Craig questioned and David shook his head.
"I'm afraid I don't. I haven't been informed but I can assure you they won't harn him anymore." He ranted "The foster home he's being sent to is pretty straight forward, he'll be sent to school with the rest of the children between Monday and Friday at 8:00 and he'll be coming back every day at 3:00. Visits are only allowed on Sunday, I assumed you might want to be checking up on him."
"Right, got it." I responded and looked nack at Alex who was talking with Jenny. She then took him by the hand and brought him with her where we were standing.
"Alex wanted to say good bye, didn't you Alex?" She asked and Alex stayed still, his red scarf covering his mouth.
Instead of saying anything, he released her hand and ran towards me and Craig. The kid has some strength, I'll give him that. Almost knocked me down."I'll see you at the boxing centre Mr. Tweak."He mumbled from beneath his scarf. He then turned to Craig "Please come visit me sometime Mr. Craig."
Craig smirked "There's no way in hell I wouldn't. "
Alex nodded and Jenny tool his hand away as they walked towards the door, Alex still waving excitedly and David following them behind.
I almost started crying at the realisation, I'll miss him. A lot.Craig slung his arm around my shoulder "It'll be alright, don't worry."
"Everything will be just fine."
