Trying to forget

I woke up covered in sweat and my eyes filled with tears, I held my head in my hands trying to calm myself down after another nightmare filled night. My eyes quickly darted to my clock on the nightstand by my bed, it was half four in the morning.. I looked over at the new walkie-talkie Larry gave to me after I used the old one for the Super Gear Boy and hesitantly hovered my hand over it, I thought for a moment and moved my hand away knowing if I did try to contact Larry he'd still be sound asleep. I was left in the darkness with the faint silhouette of Gizmo at the end of my bed curled sleeping soundly and the haunting reminders of my nightmare.
I pull my covers off of me and swing my legs around to the side of the bed, rubbing the sleep out of my eye, I grab my mask and put on my slippers before slowly pulling myself up and into the hallway. I tip toe my way towards the room my father was in and peek inside to see if he was asleep or at work, thankfully he was at work so I could sit in the front room and take my mind off everything with T.V and movies.
