Day Out [part 2]

Now sitting in the back of Lisa's car with my shoes off and legs crossed on the seat, I look out the window watching the trees, houses and other cars go by while Lisa's calm travel music plays in the background (it's mainly country music but that's fine with me, it's quite relaxing to listen to)
I move my eyes from the outside world to Larry who's sitting in the front passenger seat doing some doodles in his little sketch book, he looks so focused on what he's doing and surprisingly hasn't made any mistakes despite the road being bumpy at times.
"Halfway there boys"
Huh.. half way already. It feels like it's been only ten minutes even though we've been travelling for almost an hour now. I wonder where we're going. Larry knows but won't tell me because it will apparently "ruin the surprise" wherever it is we're going, it seems to be a long way away from Nockfell...

"Sal.. Sal dear, wake up, we're here.."
I open my eyes to see Lisa gently shaking my shoulder, I smile at her and sit up from leaning on the car door.
I look around and see that Lisa had replaced Larry to wake me up and Larry was now outside grabbing the stuff we need in the boot of the car.
Once I was out the car I stretch my arms up and crack my fingers, I have no idea how I slept for so long in that car without feeling uncomfortable, Lisa locked up the car and I went to help Larry with some of the stuff, he gave me my backpack, a basket and some towels.. I think I know where we are.
Lj:"C'mon boys. We need to find a space before everyone else crowds up the place."
L:"Sure ma"
We catch up to Lisa and follow her down a small street before reaching where they wanted to take me, the beach, we found an empty patch of land that wasn't too far from the sea or the way back to the car. It was quite hot outside too but the cooling breeze make it feel comfortable.
Larry and I set up the towels for us to sit on while Lisa opened up some parasols to give us shade, she then gave us our swimming trunks and told us there was a public bathroom to change in so me and Larry had a test to see who could get there first, obviously Larry won with his long ass legs.

~time skip~

More people start to fill up the beach and thankfully no one yet has gave me a weird look or stared at me because of my prosthetic.. Lisa's went out to get some ice cream but I asked for a slush (because it's easier to drink with my prosthetic still on) and Larry is sitting behind me styling my hair in different ways waiting for her to get back. He's actually quite good with styling and doing magic with hair despite him never actually doing it to his own.. I wonder why.
Not long after drifting into my own head Lisa comes back with the stuff, since we all changed into something suitable Lisa is wearing a back bather with a slightly transparent silk tied around her waist like a skirt (removed when going into the water) and a matching sun hat, she really suit it, one of the only people I know who can pull that off. Like how mom could..
