Recovering and cat cafes [part 1]

It's been almost a week of recovery after what happened with Travis and I finally decided (and convinced Larry) that it was finally time for me to go back out into the world. Lisa told me about the new cafe that was opening up close by and that me and Larry should check it out some time so I thought today was the right time to go as I am starting to get sick of just looking at the old walls and carpets of these apartments.
"C'mon Larry, I wanna get out and see the world again."
I tug on his arm as he puts his hair in a messy ponytail which was rare for him to do but he suited it none the less.
"Sal, I know you're excited to go out but please calm it down a little, it's too early to be this hyper and the cafe doesn't close until 5pm or something"
He wasn't wrong.. it was 10:38am, technically early for Larry who doesn't get out of bed until around 12 in the morning on a good day..
"Sorry Larbear, you just can't cage the animal for long I guess"
He gives me a soft smile before planting a light kiss on the top of my head making me blush under my prosthetic. I look up at him lovingly and grab his hand before making our way to the door.
"We'll be home soon mom."
"Ok, you goobers have fun now and try to stay out of trouble."
The door clicks behind us and we're on our way.

Standing outside the door to the cafe I hear the faintest sound of meowing from somewhere close by. I look at Larry to see if he can hear it too.
"Hey Larry, do you here that?"
He nods and looks back at me and gives me a bright smile
"I think it's coming from inside, it is a cat cafe after all."
With that my excitement is through the roof, Lisa never told me this was a cat cafe.
"A cat cafe!?"
Larry giggles and puts a hand on my head indicating me to calm it down a little.
"I'm guessing my mom didn't tell you, huh?"
I shake my head and step up to the door where an open sign and piece of paper stuck up by blue tack saying "please knock before entering, we don't want any of the cats getting out". Doing as the sign said I knock lightly on the door causing the already loud meowing from inside grow louder, I could see from inside a figure come closer towards us. I grab onto Larry's hand as he now stands next to me in front of the door which is now being unlocked.
"H-hi, welcome to Cat-paw-ccino-" a head popped out from behind the door with messy mousy-brown hair that almost covers their eyes, a hand is next to come out to push up the quite large blue rounded glasses that sat on the bridge of their nose "-please take off your shoes once you step in and you can optionally put on the sliders we provide inside, if not just keep your socks on and I'll show you two to your seats"
