Annabelle's pov
I sprinted behind Peter as he tried to catch up to Edmund, who I could just barely see in the distance.
"Hurry!" Peter shouted over his shoulder at everyone else. We reached the top of the hill. Edmund in the distance was walking through the Witch's gates, disappearing inside.
"Edmund!" Lucy shouted
"Shh! They'll hear ya!" Mr. Beaver warned. Peter took off after Edmund but Mr. Beaver leaped forward, grabbing him by the sleeve of his coat
"No!"
"Get off me!" Peter protested.
"You're playing into her hands." Mr. Beaver pressed.
"We just can't let him go!" Susan argued.
"He's our brother!" Lucy added.
"He's the bait! The Witch wants all five of ya!"Mr. Beaver said
"Why?" Peter asked.
"To stop the prophecy from coming true! To kill ya!" Mr. Beaver said, raising his voice.
"This is all your fault." Susan snapped at Peter, who looked at her in shock.
"My fault?"
"None of this would have happened if you had just listened to me in the first place!" Susan continued.
"Oh, so you knew this would happen?" Peter countered.
"I didn't know what would happen." Susan snapped back.
Suddenly, my vision wavered and I was standing outside of a grand tent in some sort of makeshift camp. The snow was gone and the grass was green, but in my heart I knew this was still Narnia. I looked up to a large rock formation to see a beautiful golden lion, talking to a young boy.
A smile grew on my face as I recognized Edmund, still dressed in his English clothing that he had stepped into Narnia wearing. The lion spoke to him in hushed tones, but I knew that Edmund was safe.
I gasped as I came back to the present, the three Pevensie's watching me curiously as I stumbled back a few paces.
"You saw something, didn't ya?" Mr. Beaver asked eagerly. I opened my mouth to say 'no,' but then I glanced back at Peter, Susan, and Lucy, who all had worry for their brother plastered onto their faces. I stood a little taller and looked Peter in the eyes.
"Edmund will be alright. There will come a time when he will be safe and back with us." I said slowly.
"You...saw him?" Peter asked, seeming wary to mention me seeing the future.
"Yes."
"And how did he get back?" Peter asked. I looked over to Mr. Beaver, recounting the previous conversation in his home.
"Only Aslan can save your brother." Mr. Beaver said.
"Then take us to him."
Mr. Beaver ushered us away from the Witch's Castle and we began walking back towards his home. Suddenly, a wolf's howl sounded on the wind. Mr. Beaver's eyes went wide.
"It's her wolves! Run!" He shouted. Peter grabbed hold of Lucy and ran after the beaver. Susan grabbed my hand and we ran in pace with each other, behind Peter. They reached the small dam and Mr. Beaver burst through the door.
"Hurry, Mama! They're after us!"
"Oh, right then..." Mrs. Beaver said before dashing around grabbing things from various cupboards.
