After Julia got changed and checked herself in the image, she walked out the doors and saw Cade leaning lazily against the wall.

"We have social studies now," he said when she arrived, grinning.

Julia was actually excited for this period as social studies was her best and favourite subject. Having an amazing teacher also helped.

"Finally, a subject that is actually worth my time," she said, still trying to catch her breath, but managed to smile.

Cade rolled his eyes. "Good for you, not for me." he said, still smiling.

Julia arched an eyebrow at him, "Why not? It's a great subject!" she exclaimed.

"Mortals are so unaware of their world that it's hilarious watching them study it." Cade said, chuckling to himself.

Julia felt her insides boil and churn. "We are not unaware." She fumed.

"In case you haven't noticed yet, you are a part of the Fandoms. Technically, that comment doesn't include you." He pointed out.

"Still," Julia said frustrated, "I was once a mortal, and so were you. You have no right to say that."

"Yeah, but the Fandoms are in this world. I agree that I was once a mortal, but that was a long time ago. And plus, if humans were aware of their own world, they would have noticed that pretty much half of the world is actually ruled by the Fandoms." Cade shot back.

"Half the world?" Julia asked incredulously.

"Yup," Cade responded, "See, you don't know anything about what the world is like."

Julia folded her arms, refusing to give up. "But what about the astronauts? They don't lie about what they see up in space," Julia pointed out.

"The mortals only see what we want them to see." Was all Cade said.

"So technically, no matter how hard we try, we cannot find the Fandoms because you don't want to let some random people finding it." Julia declared in triumph.

Cade groaned. "Okay you got me there." he said, finally giving in and smiling.

When they got to the social studies class, half the class was already there. Julia chose a seat closer to the front this time. Cade took the seat next to her.

"What's the teacher's name?" Cade asked, curious.

"His name is Mr Brand." Julia replied.

Cade nodded once and turned back to his books. Julia reached under the table for her bag and got out her pencil case and books.

"Okay class," Mr Brand began, "We'll have to wait for the rest of the class to arrive before we can begin, but for the moment you can revise on what we did last time as we'll be having a quiz today."

The class groaned at the news.

"Whoa, it's not that bad." The teacher said, grinning. "I mean at least we're not doing an exam. Unless you want to do that instead?"

The class all waved their hands around and shook their heads with a chorus of "No"s.

The teacher laughed, "So the quiz it is,"

More students piled in through the door and sat in their seats. When everyone had arrived, the teacher began calling out questions. The first person with their hands up gets to answer the question and if they get it right, they earn a point. The person with the most points will get a small bag of lollies at the end of the lesson.

"Name one feature of a democratic government that no other types of government has." Mr Brand said.

Julia's hand shot up, but unfortunately, so did a girl named Ashley's. The teacher winked at Julia but chose Ashley.
