i've been told by a few that i am a spot of sunshine with a [ fading ] heartbeat, or the rare phenomena of a shadow when it rains,

the elusive myth of a treasure beneath a rainbow's reflection, burning embers in a dying fireplace amidst a maddening thunderstorm;

but the ugly truth is that fate gave me no choice but to be dusted by the moon itself; a pitch black sky without its stars [ though i can't live there ],

the murky ocean holds tight to its unraveled mysteries lurking close by at its highest tide, my dear, i do just the same,

i carry the weight of this heavy heart of mine slung over my shoulder like a trophy, it grows more burdensome with every step i take.

i am infatuated, enamored, in deep love with the sound of white noise at ungodly hours. open your mind, listen just this once.

— I AM DARKNESS. NEVER WAS I EVER LIGHT.
