Briar Rose

Chapter 5

Xander's POV (Briar when she is older)

I just got out of my shower, and it looks like I'm calmed down now. At least enough to be around Rose. But before too long I'm going to have to mark her and claim her as mine as I have said before. I walked into my bedroom and saw Briar sitting on my bed with a nightgown on. What she said shocked me. "I want you to mark me. It's been getting to hard to control my wolf so I can only imagine what it's like for you. Being an Alpha and all. But I know the time is right and I want you to claim me as yours and you as mine."

I nodded my head but I was a little unsure so I said, "Are you sure? Do you want to do this? You do know right that this will make you Luna of this pack?"

She nodded her head and said, "I'm sure." Lets just say we didn't get any sleep tonight.

The morning after, I woke up and I felt contented for the first time ever. Sure I have had girlfriends and such, but they never really satisfied me like my mate did. What I loved the most was that she was pure. No one touched her and that made happy. No one will ever touch her or look at her the way I do. If they do, then they may be dead. But now she is Luna at 18. I was glad the goddess aged her up. Wait. Hold on, rewind. If she was the moon princess, then when we mated then wouldn't that mean we are the King and Queen of all wolves? I think so, but I would have to ask Selena. I stopped my think and just watched my mate sleep. I loved watching her, she looked so peaceful when she slept. I started running my fingers through her hair and watched as those honey brown eyes of hers fluttered open. I smiled kissed her and said, "Good morning beautiful. Did you sleep well?" After I said this her face turned a rosy pink and she looked away. I smiled and got up to get breakfast. I held out my hand and she took it. We made our way down to the kitchen and started our day.
