Briar's POV
Oof. The sound rushed past my lips unexpectedly as I feel something sever my mate bond. I'm then on my knees crying when Xander comes up and askes, "What's wrong, love?"
"Killian. I think, I think he died. My mate bond with him is gone."
I have no idea why I am crying all I know is that my heart hurts really bad. Is this what it feels like to lose a mate?
"Xander make it stop! Please make it stop!"
He kneels down next to me and cradles me in his arms. As he is doing so my sobs turn to small hiccups.
"Briar, Killian was your mate?"
I nod and he sighs, "I killed him for he was trying to get to the pups. I'm sorry but you are also my mate and he wouldn't be able to have you."

Xander's POV
Oops. Didn't know he was her mate but she is my Luna and nobody will ever take her away from me again. The days she was 'dead' almost took my life also. Killian was trying to get to her and since me and her completed the mating process I'm overprotective and really wary of males around her. So it was pure instinct when I killed Killian.

Soon we have to throw a packs' meeting which means that we have a meeting with all of the packs in the area.

Chase's POV
Haven is really growing up fast for a young pup. She is about as tall as a 2 year old and I'm excited to when she get's her wolf and realizes me and her are mates. Call it impatience but I don't care. All I care about is settling down and starting a family of our own.

Oh great. I forgot all of the packs are coming to our pack and we have to have boring meetings. I hate this time of year. The pack is always in an uproar over something silly. Like last year, a few people got hurt trying to help set up so I'm sort of nervous for all of the young pups.
