The two of us head into the lower level of the interior garden and we saw a human fighting underworld monsters
"Look at that" said Pit
"How did a human make it into the castle" asked Palutena
"Well, I didn't expect to see two angels here. Hope this doesn't mean I've kicked the bucket" said Magnus
"This guy looks tough" I said
"I think you should help him" said Palutena
"He's taking on the underworld army himself and surviving. Are you sure this guy is human" said Pit
"You having a private conversation with yourself angel face" asked Magnus
"Oh right, sorry about that. I'm Pit, servant of the goddess of light" said Pit
"And I'm Y/N, also a servant of the goddess of light" I said
"We're here to defeat dark lord Gaol" said Pit
"So you're here for a slice of the pie as well" said Magnus
"No, we're here to defend the people from the brutality of the underworld army" said Pit
"Since we all want to take down Gaol, how about we work together" said Magnus
"I don't know about that" said Pit
"What have you got to lose, it'll be easier with the three of us" said Magnus
"Lady Palutena, what do you think" asked Pit
"He makes a compelling argument" said Palutena
"Plus the more people we have, the better" I said
"All right then, resuming mission dark lord suppression" said Pit
"I'm Magnus by the way, nice to meet you. Don't hit me and we'll get along just fine" said Magnus
*time skip to the battle
"Prepare for defeat dark lord Gaol" said Pit
"Palutena's little messengers and Magnus, it's always a pleasure" said Gaol
"Sorry I'm late, I had other business to attend to" said Magnus
"Wait, you two know each other" asked Pit
"It's so typical of you to pawn off your work on someone else" said Gaol
"In the economy, everyone's looking for work" said Magnus
"I don't know much about this situation but it seems Magnus and Gaol used to be close friends" said Palutena
"What, seriously" said Pit
"How is that even possible" I said
"They were part of the same band of monster fighting mercenaries. But Gaol's heart was weaker, he couldn't resist the temptation of the underworld" said Palutena
"Seeing them fight, it's hard to believe they're friends" said Pit
"I know, it feels so weird" I said
*after the battle
"Dark lord suppressed" said Pit
"Nice work angel face" said Magnus
Gaol collapse on the floor and his armor breaks revealing a human lady
"I'm sorry it had to come to this" said Magnus
"Gaol was a human, I didn't know" said Pit
"What have we done" I said
"You can't feel bad, just think of all the other people you saved. Besides, she looks like she's still holding on" said Palutena
"Really" me and Pit said
"But we need to regroup, the war against Medusa is just starting" said Palutena
Light shines around us and we are extracted from the castle
