The doors open up for me and Pit
"Duty calls and Pit answer" said Pit
"We need to refocus our efforts on Medusa so today's target is Tanatos, god of death" said Palutena
"Tanatos, you mean the Tanatos" I said
"Wait, who's Tanatos again" asked Pit
"Tanatos took the form of a snake on Medusa's head. He's quite the chameleon, you see that was his look back then" said Palutena
"But as the god of death, he must be a big deal in the underworld army" said Pit
"He possesses the key to the underworld and he's leading Medusa's invasion of the sea" said Palutena
"So we'll be fighting his forces in the sea, how are we supposed to do that" asked Pit
"Just use your gills. Tell me Pit, how are you with branchial respiration" said Palutena
"No worries, I minored in branchial respiration. Wait, you're crazy" said Pit
"Ok then just hold your breath, for about two hours" said Palutena
"I said you're crazy" said Pit
"I can smell the ocean" I said
"We're heading to Tanatos's base, the sea floor palace" said Palutena
"You were kidding about holding my breath, right" asked Pit
"Watch and learn pupil, witness the true power of the goddess of light" said Palutena
The ocean splits and makes a path for us
"That is so cool" I said
"You've outdone yourself lady Palutena" said Pit
"Next stop, the sea floor palace" said Palutena
"This is just one more bullet point on your already impressive resume" said Pit
"What can I say, I'm an overachiever" said Palutena
"Just a second there lassie" a voice said
"Oh, lord Poseidon" said Palutena
"Lies do not become a lady, Palutena" said Poseidon
"I'm sorry, but can't a goddess have a little fun" asked Palutena
"So that sea parting business was" said Pit
"Twas obviously my doing silly boy" said Poseidon
"To pull off an attack on the sea floor palace, I went to the sea god himself" said Palutena
"It all makes sense now" I said
"I wouldn't allow anyone else to part in my ocean. In fact, I've half a mind to put it back together" said Poseidon
"No, please don't do that" said Pit
"Despite your mischievous ways, you should know you have my full support" said Poseidon
"Much obliges lord Poseidon" said Palutena
"It was bad enough when the dark forces were contained in the underworld, but extending their reach to the sea and land is completely unacceptable. As the goddess of light, it falls on you to destroy them. I have faith that you will" said Poseidon
"You have my word" said Palutena
"And mine too" said Pit
"And mine" I said
The two of us see the palace in the distance
"So that's the sea floor palace" I asked
"I thought it'd be covered in barnacles and kelp but its actually pretty nice" said Pit
"I'll be closing up the sea now, it should wipe out an underworld stranglers" said Poseidon
"Just give us one more moment" said Palutena
"Please, I'm not wearing a life vest" said Pit
