Brooklyn Myers had just moved to New York to get away from her crazy ex. She took the first job she got. Which was a secretary job for one of the most richest CEO's in all of New York. But she quickly learned that her boss was a complete ass. But is...
Today was the day. After six months of planning it was finally my wedding day. Carson and I decided to try and plan our wedding a little fast. We didn't want to wait so we hired a wedding planner to help us speed things along. Our guest list was pretty short considering we didn't want to have a big wedding. The only people that we were inviting were Carson's parents and siblings and my brother. I still wasn't on good terms with my parents and I didn't want them to ruin the happiest day of my life. But today I wasn't worrying about my family or any problems. I was focused on marrying the love of my life.
I no longer had to worry about Brandon or being on the run. For once my life just felt normal. I worked along side my fiancé every day and we happily lived together.
Carson was protective as usual, even thought it's been a few months since the Brandon incident. No matter how much I assure him I'm ok he still insists he has to stay by my side. We also finally announced our relationship to his company and surprisingly most people were happy for us. There are a few looks I get here and there or whispers but I've dealt with worse.
"Brook, are you done staring at yourself in the mirror?" I looked behind me and saw my brother. I really need to stop spacing out so much.
I smiled and let out a small laugh "Yeah, yeah. The next time I look in a mirror I'm going to be Brooklyn Maxwell."
He chuckled and nodded "Well you're not going to be Brooklyn Maxwell if you don't get out there. Everyone is about to start walking out."
"I know. How do I look?" I asked and stood up.

He smiled and placed a soft kiss against my forehead "You look beautiful, sis. Now let's go before your future husband thinks you got cold feet."
I nodded and grabbed my bouquet as we walked out to the big doors that had Carson's siblings walking out, posing as pirates bridesmaids and groomsmen.
I took a deep breath and then walked out, Jaxon walking me down the aisle. I immediately looked for the face of my future husband. There he stood at the end of the aisle with a bright smile on his face as his eyes met mine. I can't believe I was finally going to be his wife.
Jaxon gave my forehead a gentle kiss as we got to the end of the aisle "You deserve this." He whispered then took his seat. I smiled and turned to Carson, tears already forming in my eyes.
He smiled and gently grabbed both of my hands "Today is finally the day." He whispered, his eyes getting a little glossy. We looked to the priest and he started the ceremony. And my god, there were so many boring words before we finally got to the part I cared about the most. The vows and then the kissing.
Carson went first. "Brooklyn, you are the best thing to ever happen to me. I never thought I would find love but when I saw you I knew there was something special about you. I've never been so happy then I am now. Without you, I would still be alone and cold. I couldn't ask for a better wife." He finished. I wiped a few tears that fell and smiled.
"Carson, before you I was always on the run. I never thought I would find love or have a normal life. When I first saw you something intrigued me about you. I didn't know what but I definitely didn't think at the time that my new boss would become my husband. Without you, I would still be on the run and in who knows where. You are the best thing to ever happen to me and I am so lucky to be able to call you my husband. I love you so much." I finished with a soft smile. Carson quickly wiped away a tear that he tried to hide but I could clearly see it.
"I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride." I could hardly let those words click in my head before I felt Carson wrap his arms around me and pull me into a deep kiss. We kissed for a few moments before we pulled away, small cheers from our family in the seats could be heard.
I smiled brightly and walked down the aisle with Carson by my side. "You are now looking at Mrs. Maxwell." I said to him with a smirk.
He grinned and kissed my head softly "And you are now looking at your new husband. There is no way you can get rid of me now." He winked.
Since we had our wedding in our backyard we only had to walk into our house to be at the little reception. The backyard was so big and spacious and had an amazing view so it was perfect to have our little wedding there.
"And now, it is champagne time." I said with a smile and poured a glass for myself and my husband. I will never get tired of being able to say Carsom is my husband. It has a nice ring to it.
He chuckled and grabbed the glass I poured him. Our family members walked in and his sister instantly hugged me "I am so glad you guys ate finally married. I have a sister in law!" She squealed. I laughed a little and nodded at her.
We all talk for a while and drink champagne. Finally, everyone left a few hours later and I plopped down on the couch with Carson. "Finally, everyone is gone. Which means we need to change to get ready to leave on our honeymoon." I said with a smile and kissed his cheek.
He smirked and wrapped an arm around my shoulders "Maybe we can do a little practicing of something before we leave." He whispered and before I knew it I was carried upstairs.
