Carson's pov
"As you can see Mr. Maxwell the hotel and its staff have been doing very well since your last visit." The manager of my hotel told me. I haven't been to this hotel in a while and I was glad it was as good as it was when I left. It usually only took a day to check up on everything but I wanted to spend a few more days here with Brooklyn. We weren't able to act like a couple back at home but we were here since I wasn't famous here.
"You've done a good job Rory, keep it up." I said quickly before heading to the elevator. I wanted to get done with work as quickly as possible so I can focus on Brooklyn from now on. Well from now to the end of our trip. It was still the morning and she was still asleep once I left. I didn't know what she would think once I told her that I actually didn't her here.
I got up to our hotel room and saw that she was still sound asleep on the bed, her limbs spread across it and her hair everywhere. Some people may have found it weird but when I looked at her all I could see was beauty. Even with her hair absolutely everywhere. I walked over to the bed and sat down on the edge of it before moving some hair out of her face and gently shaking her shoulder.
"Wake up, sweetheart." I said softly but all I got was a groan in return.
"Too early.." she mumbled before rolling over so her face was in the pillows.
"It's nine thirty. It's not that early." I said as I tried to pull her out of bed. I swear this girl could be awful to wake up in the mornings.
"Go away!" She whined. Looks like we're gonna have to do this the hard way. I let go of her hand before picking her up, putting one hand under her back and the other under her legs before spinning around.
"Carson! Stop it! I'm up!" She giggled and damn that little giggle was the cutest sound I've ever heard. I set her down on her feet and she held onto me, swaying a little.
"Finally. How can some mornings you just jump right out of bed and others I have to pry you out of it?" I asked with a chuckle.
She smiled and shrugged "I dunno. So when do we have to meet up with the manager?"
It took me a few seconds to reply and I rubbed the back of my neck which was a nervous habit of mine. "I actually already met up with him so our work is all done.."
I watched as she raised an eyebrow at me. "Why did you bring me here if you went by yourself anyways?" She asked and crossed her arms.
"Because I wanted us to have a little time to ourselves here. I want to hold your hand and kiss you in public. I didn't know if you would've came if I said it wasn't for work." I explained sheepishly and looked down. She walked closer to me and tilted my chin so I had to look into her eyes.
"I would've came. But I am very flattered that you tricked me into coming here." She teased before pecking my lips. I smirked and pretended to gag.
"Someone's got morning breath." I watched as she gasped and slapped my arm.
"Ass.." she mumbled before walking to the bathroom to brush her teeth.
I smiled and checked my phone to see what the time was. I had our whole day planned out. First, we were going to brunch and then I was going to let her do a little shopping because that girl needs to be spoiled. Then we were going to go to the leaning tower of pisa and get a quick drink afterwards.
"Carson?" I was snapped out of my thoughts by Brooklyn waving her hand in front of me. "I said your name like three times. What's going on in that head of yours?"
"Nothing. Now, go get your pretty self dressed so we can go to brunch." I said as I pushed her into the bedroom. I swear she was going to make us late if she didn't hurry up.
Almost an hour later, we're finally outside the hotel. "You take so long to get ready." I whined playfully as she swatted my arm.
"Oh shut up. I do not take that long.." she mumbled but you could hear that she didn't even believe herself.
I let out a chuckle before guiding her down the side of the road before pulling her into a restaurant so we could finally eat.
Brooklyn's pov
It was getting a little dark now but I guess Carson planned for it to get dark while we were out because we were now headed to the tower of pisa. Once we got to the top the view was absolutely perfect. We looked out and there was the sunset. The soon was a beautiful orange and the sky was filled with colored that consisted of purple, pink, blue, and orange. It was absolutely beautiful. I turned to look at Carson and smiled brightly. "This is amazing.."
"It's worth not going back to the hotel, right?" He asked which I nodded to.
"Of course." I said and rested my head against his shoulder as we both looked out at the sunset.
After about half an hour of looking at the sunset we made our way back down to the ground. We were now heading to a close by bar to get a few drinks before heading back to the hotel.
"Can you get me a drink? I'm gonna go to the bathroom real quick." I said as we walked into the bar. It was nice and big inside with speakers everywhere.
He nodded and kissed my cheek. "Of course. Just don't take too long." He winked before walking to the bar and I walking to the bathroom.
Once I walked out of the bathroom I stopped dead in my tracks at what I saw. Carson was sitting at the bar but he wasn't alone. The fakest looking blonde with a disgusting looking tan was sitting next to him. She was hardly sitting next to him, more like sitting on him, that's how close she was. I watched as she ran her long fake nails across his chest. And what did he do? Nothing. Just sat there and even had a small smirk on his face. I blinked a few times to make sure I wasn't dreaming but it was still him. I was starting to stomp over there when the fake blonde leaned in and pressed her lips against his. He did nothing to push her away. I continued to stomp over there in my rage and I grabbed a beer that was sitting next to Carson before splashing it on him and the blonde. His eyes looked angry at first but when he saw it was me his eyes widened.
"Brook-"
"Shut the hell up and stay away from me you asshole!" I screamed at him, clearly taking him by surprise. "F--k you!" I yelled before quickly walking out of the bar, now noticing the tears running down my cheeks. I heard my name being called from behind me but I took no glances back before getting into a cab and telling him to just drive.
I thought he was different. I thought he wouldn't hurt me. I've now had one boyfriend who hurt my physically and now one that has hurt me emotionally. And damn did emotionally hurt almost as much as physically. My heart felt like someone was squeezing it.
Why would you do this to me, Carson?
