Y/N's POV:

I just finished my shift for work and celebrate by stretching my arms out "See you tomorrow!" I hear Nia's voice call out. All the other workers wave goodbye and I stand up from my chair so she could see me wave "See ya!" I yell out and she blows me a kiss and I pretend to catch it.

We both laugh lightly as she left the building, I then sit back on my chair and let out a sigh as I pull out my phone. "Shit..." I mumble seeing my phone was at 3%. Then see the time 10:40pm....

THE BUS

I stand up and get my things together taking a quick look around before I dash out the building. The smell of rain and cold breeze are the first things that hit me as I make my way outside. Without a second thought I start to run to the bus stop before it was to late.

This wasn't something I planned on doing since I was wearing flats and a dress today. (Or something else nice if you don't like dresses)

From all fucking days! I decide to dress up nice for work. I'm running in the rain...

As I run almost slipping a couple of times I feel little raindrops land on me

Shit I really need to keep in check with the News Cast..

My feet come to a stop as I see the bus leave the bus stop. I groan and try to catch my breath.

Wait I can call Nia and ask for a ride!

I quickly take my phone out to see it was now dead

Are you fucking kidding me...

I let out a deafened sigh, sure I can go walk back to (workplace) and ask if anyone could give me a ride, but I don't really know anyone there well except for Nia...

Guess I'm walking home...

The walk could take almost an hour but if I go in a fast pace through the whole thing I can probably get there in like 40 minutes.

Alex POV:

I wait for Y/N to get home but start to get worried, it's already 11:20 and she usually gets here at 11...

Maybe she went out to eat?

Or there was traffic?

I start to float around the house trying to make up excuses so I wouldn't worry to much...

It wouldn't hurt to check on her...

I stop floating and think over what I'm about to do. I already know where she works since I tagged along two weeks ago...

-Flashback-

I watch Y/N as she runs around her room "I can't believe my alarm didn't go off!" She shouts as she goes into the bathroom to get ready.

I wait outside "Well, did you remember to put it on?" I ask "No," I hear her say and I shake my head. "Then why are you blaming your alarm clock? You're the one who forgot to put it on." I point out and the door to the bathroom opens signaling that it was okay to go in.

As fast as the fucking flash

She gives me a look as I float in the bathroom. Clearly, she wasn't happy with what I said.

Welp, better float away before I die again...

"Alex, you know I knocked out right when I got home" She said while putting toothpaste on her toothbrush while "Wor- wash- exhausted westerday" She said while brushing her teeth. Her words kinda slurred all over the place she then started the rest of her morning routine. I don't reply and the room grows silent.
