Choi Seungcheol, ace basketball player. Jeon Wonwoo, biggest jerk. Kim Mingyu, hottest guy in school. Choi Hansol, school's heartthrob.

Me? I'm their best friend.

I'm one of the boys, dressing up like one and acting like one. No one really cares about me hanging out with them, except for those fake girls gossiping about me. It doesn't matter, they can't do anything about it.

"Hey, dude." I greeted Hansol with a high five.

"Dude, did you know that prom is near? Ugh, I hate prom. "

I chuckled at his reaction, "So many girls are surely going to ask you. Aren't you lucky?"

"Can I just ask you? It would make my problem easier."

"Sorry, dude." I pushed him away.

Then suddenly, someone jumped on my back causing me to fall on the floor.

"Hey, hey, hey. Is someone free for prom? I'm looking for a partner." I heard Mingyu say.

"Guys, please. Just so you know, I don't even think I'm going to prom." I simply replied.

They stared at me as if I was crazy, while I shrugged it off my shoulders.

"Go to prom with me." Wonwoo ran towards my direction, panting.

"No, go with me." Seungcheol followed.

I sighed deeply, "I am not going to prom."

I crossed my arms and looked away. Wonwoo clicked his tongue, feeling disappointed.

"And why would that be? Some dude finally confessed to you or did someone hit on you?"

"Is y/n in love with a man?"

"Did she finally realize that she's a girl?"

They bombarded me with questions that I didn't care about. "Later, idiots." I said, waving off.

Once I got into my car, I let out a heavy breath I didn't know I was holding. I drove off back to my house and went straight to my room.

As soon as I opened my bedroom door, there I saw it. The beautiful blue, linen dress which my mom bought for me. I have always dreamed about going to prom, ever since I was young. I wanted my mom to see me wearing a pretty dress, but I considered wearing jeans.

Unfortunately, my mom passed away even before my prom night. It had been a year since she left me. I still didn't wear the dresses she bought for me because I thought that she wouldn't see it anyways.

This blue dress was different. It was special to her and she wanted me to wear it. She just wanted to see her beautiful daughter and wearing it once was enough for her, but it was difficult for me. It's difficult because I'm not in the mood right now.

Mom, I miss you. I'm sorry, this prom night wouldn't be memorable.

Lost in deep thought, I eventually fell asleep. Another morning of meeting my best friends came. The five of us sat at a bench at the basketball court, judging people who were asking each other out for prom.

I got a ball from the floor and dribbled on it. While dribbling, I suddenly remembered a memory with my mom which caused me to lose balance. I fell on my back and the boys were just laughing at me.

I just stayed there before I saw Seungcheol's hand in front of me. I grabbed a hold of it and he pulled me back. He pulled me too hard, I hit my face on his buff chest.
