'Don't make promises you can't keep.'
In front of me was the most annoying person I've met in school, Kwon Soonyoung. "Promise?" I asked with a glare at his small eyes.
"Yeah, I promise not to interfere with your lovelife again so I won't waste my time on you." He harshly grabbed my hand and interlocked his pinky finger with mine.
"Now, let's get this over with." We both walked on opposite ways and spent the rest of the day like usual.
It's been at least 4 years since that promise was made, I just remembered now.
All those years, I followed Jihoon. He is a classmate of mine. We went to the same college, but we were not that close. Now that we're working at the same building as teachers, I thought that it was time to get closer with him.
"Good morning, Professor Lee." I greeted cheerfully to Jihoon as I entered the meeting room.
"Good morning to you too, Madam l/n." He replied simply.
"So, we're here for...?"
"A meeting?" He answered like 'how would you not know?'.
"Oh, right. Sorry about that." I laughed awkwardly. So much for a first time talking.
I sat down on my chair beside Jihoon as we waited for the meeting to start. "Good morning everyone, we are gathered here today to welcome our newly hired teacher for this school year."
Everyone clapped and all those things we usually do. It was lunch time, I was bringing my lunch with me as I stopped by Jihoon's classroom.
"Excuse me, can I eat with you? I don't want to eat alone." I asked the man sitting on his chair, who was quietly eating his own lunch.
He motioned me to enter and sit on the chair across his table. I sat down and started eating my lunch as well. This feeling is new, the first time we ate together.
"Woozi, how are you?" I started.
He looked up to me, "I'm great. What about you?"
"I'm great as well. You know, I just thought of seeing myself as a student again."
"Oh, is that so? I have not seen you in school that much before since we were never classmates, so annoying." He chuckled. Omg.
"Hahaha, so you wanted to be classmates with me before?" I smirked in a teasing way.
"It's just...nevermind." He gave up on his words, smiling.
Both of us smiled at each other as the conversation went on. He's so cute. We talked a lot about our high school and college days, not minding the time. Oh, today was just for the meeting.
"I guess I have to go now." I said.
"Wait, y/n. Let me drive you home, so I can visit you soon." Ooh, he'll visit me soon.
I accepted his offer and he drove me back home. "Goodnight, see you on Monday." What a beautiful day.
Jihoon and I are now best friends, considering that we are not close with the other teachers.

"You guys do your projects, okay?" I told the students of Jihoon's class.
I was the substitute for their Science class, since their teacher was absent. I am their Arts teacher, while Jihoon was their Music teacher. Jihoon doesn't have that much classes, so he gets to stay in his room for hours. Same goes to me, since I'm not a major subject.
Right now, I am sitting across his table as we were talking to each other. "No classes this Friday and I'm free. Let's hang out, sounds good?"
"Sounds amazing, Woozi."
*ring*
"I'll see you soon." He winked at me. Ahh, this guy is such a tease. I sticked my tongue out at him in a tease.
I left his room, heading towards my own. As I looked inside, everyone was gone for their PE class. The class that was led by the amazing Seungcheol. I'm alone for another hour then.
Sitting on my chair feels relaxing, I get to take a little nap. I suddenly heard footsteps towards my direction, which caused me to look up and identify the person. At first, I didn't mind; but the second time I looked, I was surprised.
"Hey, why are you here?" I sat straight on my chair, getting alarmed.
"I'm a newly hired teacher, can't I be here? Don't you miss me?" He showed that familiar smile of his. The eyes that could kill.
"Miss you? You mean, miss your stupid self for interfering with my lovelife. No thank you, Hoshi."
"Still the same, y/n." He laughed.
I rolled my eyes and relaxed on my chair again. "Please leave."
"Rude."
"I don't care."
"Madam l/n, watch your language."
"Who are you to scold me?"
"You'll see." I can hear poison in his voice and it sends me. He then walked out of my room, leaving me to rest peacefully.

For four days, Soonyoung had been visiting my room every break time and I didn't like it. It's as if he's checking or observing me, it's bothering. Anyways, It's Friday and you know what it means.
I am outside my classroom as I waited for Jihoon from his own classroom. He said that he just needed to compile papers and keep them. While I was waiting, someone pushed me back inside my room and closed the door.
"Where are you going today dressed like...that?" Soonyoung checked my outfit carefully.
"None of your business." I hit him in his chest.
"y/n, talk to me like that again and you won't come back here."
"Pfft, okay." I laughed at what he just said. What is he, a principal?
"Just to let you know, I am the new head teacher and you are all under me. Now answer, where are you going?" How in the world?
"Out with Woozi." I heard Jihoon calling for me, so I went to him leaving Soonyoung behind.

"I'll just go buy something, okay?" Jihoon asked before he left me here in the middle of the mall.
While I waited for him, I felt someone drag me closer to their body and I panicked. "Let go of me." I pushed him and hit his chest.
"Hi, I just wanted to join you guys. I saw you at my way here, so why not hang out?" Soonyoung shrugged.
"Hoshi..." I sighed. "Why do you suddenly want to get close with me? Remember what you promised to me before?"
"Oh, yeah right. I did, but I just want us to be closer friends. I only promised not to interfere with your lovelife, do you perhaps like Woozi?" He smirked at me teasingly, looking behind me.
"I do not, we're just friends." I gritted my teeth as I replied.
"Then you have no reason to bring back that promise. We can all be friends, right?" He placed his arm around my shoulder, making me turn back and there I saw Jihoon.
Jihoon and Soonyoung smiled at each other. "Let's all get closer as friends." Soonyoung cheered, placing his other arm around Jihoon's shoulder.
He broke our promise without him knowing just because I lied. I won't blame him though because he kept it anyways. If he wants to get close to me as friends, I hope it stays that way.
No matter what, I'll still get closer with Jihoon and it will stay that way.
