(A/N: Hi! Sam here. I forgot to mention in the last chapter that this is also where the U.A. is more of a college-type thing, so Aizawa wouldn't be soulmates with a 14-15 year old but rather soulmates with a 17-18 year old [You're 17 in this, BTW]. Happy reading!)
The next few weeks with Aizawa were torture. You couldn't look at him too long without blushing, his voice changed from just monotone to smooth and interesting, and, above all, he had gotten infinitely times cuter.
There was a problem, though.
You never found his soulmate mark.
Not once did you see any black on him, unless you count his clothing. It was a mess. You obsessed over it, trying to figure out where it could be.
Eventually, though, you gave up with that thought, just taking in the fact that he was your soulmate. And no one else's.
You still swore off touching him in any way.
But, currently, you were sitting at the lunch table with Uraraka, Midoriya, and Iida. You wanted so badly to tell them about your newfound cru- no, soulmate, but they would probably freak out.
Because he's a teacher.
Who's approximately 13 years older than you.
You threw all caution into the wind.
"So, you guys know how I have a soulmate mark?"
"Yeah. What about it?" Uraraka said, tilting her head in interest.
"Did you find your soulmate?!" Midoriya asked excitedly, a wide smile spreading across his face.
"Well... yeah. I did?"
Even Iida perked up at that. "Who, may I ask?"
An exasperated chuckle left your lips. You regretted the words as soon as they left your mouth.
"Aizawa sensei."
Collective gasps reached your ears. Uraraka looked worried, Iida with an unreadable look, and Midoriya smiling even wider.
"Congrats, [L/N]-chan!"
"Are you sure this is okay?"
"This seems... dangerous."
"You're the only ones I've told, so, please, don't tell anyone," you mumbled, all of their faces turning to worry, now.
"I would never dream of it!" Midoriya placed a hand on yours comfortingly.
"Yeah. I second that."
"Me, too."
You smiled at them. You wanted to curl up in a ball and die on the inside. It was so embarrassing.
"Does he know that you know?"
Uraraka was asking a simple question, but it felt all too invasive. You couldn't deny the answer, though.
"No. I don't even know where his mark is. I don't wanna touch it, though."
Midoriya frowned, removing his hand.
"Why not?"
"I'm not ready for something like that."
You sighed, rubbing your eyes.
"Maybe you should talk to him."
"Talk to him? I can barely look at him without blushing."
Then it hit you.
"Oh, my fucking God," you cursed, eyes wide.
"What?!"
"Are you okay?"
"He's Eraserhead! The hero I've been obsessed with for, like, ever!"
Your face flushed as you remembered what you read during Aizawa's class.
"Then, shouldn't you want to pursue the relationship? He's your idol, after all," Iida asked, genuinely interested now.
"Yeah, but..."
Little did you know, your teacher/soulmate had been just a couple feet away, hearing the entire conversation.
"Well... I guess that takes care of that," he thought, getting up and walking to you.
"Miss [L/N]... come with me," he said after getting your attention.
"Good luck!" Uraraka whispered, shooting you a thumbs up.
You followed Aizawa blindly, worried what this was about. Did you do something wrong?
Once you made it to his classroom, he sat on his desk, taking a deep breath.
"I overheard your conversation."
Your heart stopped. How could you be so careless?
"I-I can explain-"
"There's no point. Let me see it," he commanded, a wave of fear washing over you. He was scary, to say the least.
You lifted up your shirt sleeve, showing him the now fading mark. It still swirled with color, nonetheless.
He walked over and touched your arm softly, looking at the mark and sighing.
"Hmm. How long ago was this?"
"A-A couple weeks ago," you mumbled, his face showing surprise then blank again.
"Odd. Why didn't you tell me?"
He sounded... hurt.
"I-I was scared, I-"
He cut you off with a wave of his hand.
"That's all. You can leave."
He turned around and coughed, running his hands down his face.
"Aizawa-"
"I said that you could leave," he repeated, his voice now stern.
"I-I'm sorry," you said, running into the hall.
