Chapter 14

Once you arrived at Shouta's place, you let out a sigh of relief. For some odd reason, you'd expected him to live in some giant, four-story mansion type thing (he was a young-ish bachelor, so that thought made even less sense), but he lived in an apartment downtown.

You smiled as you walked up the steps to the door, quickly unlocking it and walking in.

It smelled so... him. It was comforting and stressful at the same time.

And then, a cute little cat cake up to you and sniffed your leg questioningly.

"Aww, hi there!"

You bent down to pet the cat, letting it sniff your hand before you ran your hand down it's soft white fur. It was a longhair cat (which must've been a pain, you thought, but pushed it away) and its fur was the softest you'd felt on a cat since you were a kid.

"You're a tiny thing, aren't you? I bet you're still a kitten," you said to the cat, who was now nuzzling against your hand affectionately and purring very loudly.

She flopped down, letting her tummy show.

"You're tempting me, kitty."

You softly placed your hand on her tiny belly, scratching it lovingly. She purred even louder.

You were surprised she trusted you this quickly.

Then, the handle to the front door jingled, and Shouta walked in.

Once he saw you petting his cat, his face lit up and he lovingly said, "Hi, babe!"

He set his stuff down and went over to you, kissing your cheek softly. You were holding the cat now and standing upright, and it was still purring, sounding like a little engine.

"She normally doesn't trust people to hold her this quickly.... Maybe she just knows that you're a good person." He laughed after that and pet the cat's- now identified as a girl- head.

"What's her name?"

"Ah... I just got her recently, and I'm not too good at naming things, so..."

"She doesn't have a name?!" you jokingly scoffed, turning away from him with the cat in your arms protectively.

"Don't get mad! I just... haven't found the right name."

"How about... Sugar? Her fur is as white as sugar, and it's a cute name, so," you said, kissing her head.

"That's adorable."

He leaned in close to the baby kitty and said softly, "Hi, little baby Sugar!"

You smiled widely. You felt even closer to Shouta now, for some reason.

As if you could get closer.

You set Sugar down on the floor and turned towards Shouta.

"I missed you, baby..." you mumbled, tracing patterns on his shirt.

He pulled you into a hug, hugging you tighter than it seemed he ever did before.

"Me, too. I love you."

You chuckled softly and hugged him back just as tightly. "I love you, more."

He picked you up and carried you, bridal-style, to the couch, where he set you down softly and settled himself on top of you.

"My baby," he mumbled, kissing your lips with as much want and love he could muster.

You wrapped your arms around his neck, kissing back to match his want. His hands were set on each side of your face, his knees on both side of your hips.

You broke away to place kisses on his cheek, his jawline, his neck, his collarbone, everywhere you could reach.

"I love you," you said in between each kiss, and of course you meant it. You meant it with each ounce of your being, every inch of your body... you meant it more than you knew.

He cupped your cheek with one of his hands and kissed your lips again, this time with a little more force, but not enough to lead to anything.

You tilted your head to deepen the kiss and he slipped his tongue in your mouth.

Your whole body felt hot. It was too much. You hadn't gotten this much affection from him in what felt like too long, and now that you're getting it, you were overwhelmed with emotions.

Tears welled in your eyes and you broke away from him, turning your head to the side to try and ensure he didn't see your vulnerable state.

He obviously saw, anyway.

"Hey, hey, hey, what's wrong, baby?"

You smiled and choked out a laugh as a few tears rolled down your face.

"I love you so much. I can't even express the emotions I get when I'm with you. I love you so much."

He smiled, genuinely, at you, and buried his head in the crook of your neck. He placed soft kisses there and kept mumbling soft "I love you's" between each one.

Of course, though, Sugar jumped up on top of Shouta, walking over his back to perch on his head. She looked at you in what felt like concern.

"Hi, baby Sugar," you said as you pet her softly.

"She was concerned about you, just like I was," Shouta said, leaning down carefully to kiss you once more.

"I love you."

"I love you so much more."

A/N: hi guys! i uh- yeah. this chapter is shorter than normal (<1k) but, hey, i'm trying my best haha. considering i'm not in the fandom anymore, i think it's pretty good i guess? anyway. i love every one of you. have the best day/night ever and i hope you are happy and never have to worry about anything. i love you.
