Chapter 11

After leaving Shouta's apartment, while you were driving back home, you really contemplated who you wanted to choose. If... if you chose either of them, to be honest.

Not that you didn't like them both, because, god, you were so desperately in love with them both, but you didn't know if you could... condemn one to death.

But, if you chose neither of them, would that condemn them both to death?

You couldn't live in a world without both of them.

You couldn't live in a world without one of them, so who were you kidding?

It was almost as if you were cursed instead of gifted something amazing. You knew you loved them both, but you couldn't deny the stronger pull one had... But, you couldn't just abandon the other because you loved one more.

This was, honest-to-God, harder than you thought it was going to be.

"Why can't I just let them both live?"

No one could hear you.

You felt your heart ache as you thought of a world without either of them.

One of those realities seemed worse than the other, though...

You sighed angrily and swallowed.

Pulling into your driveway, you saw that your light was still on. It was dark out, but you weren't surprised that Midoriya was still up.

You opened the door with your spare keys and entered, quickly, silently climbing the stairs and entering your room.

Midoriya was sprawled across your bed, sleeping soundly. You inwardly cooed at how adorable he looked.

You quietly closed the door and got changed, turning off the light and climbing in the bed.

He awoke softly. "[Y/N]?"

He yawned and rubbed his eyes, looking not dissimilar to a bunny.

"It's me," you whispered, moving closer to cuddle him.

It was cute, your friendship, and how you were so close with each other that you could do stuff like this and not have to worry about it being misconstrued.

I mean, it helps that he's gay.

He hugged you back, tangling your legs together.

"Did... anything happen?"

You chuckled softly. "Nothing of importance."

"You're acting... weird. Like, quieter. What's wrong?"

"I think I know who I'm going to choose."

His eyes shot open, mouth agape. "Really?!"

You nodded and swallowed.

"Who?!"

You told him.

"Oh. My. God. Are you sure?"

You didn't react for a second. Were you sure?

"I... I'm positive."

"What are you going to do about...?"

"I have to act normal until one of them does something. I can't just choose right now. It's too early."

He nodded.

"I just hope your plan works."

You nodded and cuddled up against his chest.

"I just... I don't know what I could do without... him. I don't want to lose either of them, but I know for sure that one of them is more important to me..."
