“I...I just can’t, Jimin. I’ll wait for Jungkook, I’m fine, really.” Jimin froze and turned, looking at the car.
“Don’t tell me...” he began to shake. “That son of a bitch. Even from Hell he’s laughing at you, isn’t he?”
“Yeah, he probably is.” I Said quietly.
“He told me that...fuck, Taehyung...you know what? I’m getting rid of the car, we can take Wang's. He’ll probably be here all day anyway.”
“Okay.” Jimin went inside. I stood there for a moment, before taking a step forward. I walked to the car and opened the door slowly. It still smelled the same. I crawled into the back seat, and laid down. I stared up at the ceiling, shutting my eyes.
A felt something hot trickled down the side of my face. Then more, and more. I covered my eyes with my arm and let the tears fall.
“Taehyung!” Jimin called. I heard Jungkook's voice in the background, but I remained silent. My arm fell to the floor, and it brushed something. I turned my head and reached underneath the seat.
I stopped breathing as I pulled out the rope. It was rough, and old. I sat up looking down at it. My wrists throbbed from an old memory.
“Taehyung!” Jimin flung the door open. I didn’t even looked at him, and my hands fell limply to my lap. Jimin looked down.
“You’ve got to kidding me.” He muttered. “This is so unfair.” I heard a loud bang as he hit the top of the car. “That goddamn son of a bitch...I’m going to go down to hell myself and bring him back just so I can—“
Jimin was pushed to the side. Jungkook stuck his head inside. “Taehyung, don’t be caught up in the past. Come on, I’ll get you some breakfast.”
I closed my eyes slowly, and a few more tears fell out. A hand brushed them away. I jerked away as Jungkook kissed my lightly. He looked at me and I averted my eyes. “Taehyung, get out of the car.” He ordered.
I slowly came out and stood. He pulled me into his arms. I froze, but eventually consented. He pulled my face up and kissed me again. “He can’t hurt you anymore.” He whispered. “So don’t let him.” He pulled away slightly. “I think you’ve had enough for one day. We’re going back to the apartment.”
“Okay.” He led me past Jimin, who stood back. We got into his car and we drove back home. I entered slowly, and then fell onto the couch, exhausted. Jungkook disappeared and came back moments later with some coffee.
I took it from him and drank it all within a minute. It didn’t even register that my tongue was slightly burnt. I placed the mug on the table and sighed, slouching. “Sorry, I don’t know what happened.” I mumbled.
Jungkook didn’t respond, and sat beside me. “You reacted well to the fact that I killed that man today.”
“It didn’t even register, if I’m to be honest. But I knew that things like that came along with your line of work. I mean, I’ve met the head of the Japanese Mafia. I reacted well, seeing that he probably does the same thing that you do.”
“Yes, that’s true, but it’s one thing to know, and another to see.”
“That is also true. But as long as you keep it to a minimum around me...I probably won’t even care.”
“You’re amazing.” He sighed, burying his face into my neck. I stroked his hair slightly. It was soft, almost like a cats fur. He pulled away. “I have something for you. Well, not for you, but I thought that you might want to give them away yourself.”
“What?” He got up and walked to the bedroom. He came back with a stack of papers. He handed them to me and I took them. “Are these...the papers for Misa’s family?”
“Yes.” He Said, looking away. I smiled and set the papers down, jumping up and hugging him.
“I’ll be right back.” I said, scooping up the papers. I ran out of the room and headed down to Misa’s.
“Misa!” I called as I knocked on her door. She opened it and I entered.
“Taehyung, you look rather lively today.”
“I have a surprise for you!”
“Really? Is it another delicious meal?”
“No! Even better!” I handed her the papers. She looked down at them.
“What are these?”
“They’re six papers for green cards and citizenship.” I sang out. Misa looked down at them, her eyes widening. She looked back up at me, tears welling in her eyes. I pulled her in for a hug as she cried.
“Bless you child, bless you.” She sniffled out. I laughed and smiled as she sat on a chair. “How?”
“I know one very wealthy man with some very vast influence.” I joked, winking.
“You are too kind. I do not deserve this from you.”
“All I ask is that you stick around. Jungkook said that your family can move in as well.” I stood. “I’ll have everything else taken care of. You contact your family and let them know.”
“Thank you.” She repeated. I left and headed back upstairs. Jungkook was sitting on the couch, flipping through the TV, looking rather bored. I walked up to him and straddled him. He looked up at me, raising an eyebrow.
“I think I need to repay you now, otherwise I may collect too much debt for myself to handle.” I kissed him slowly, running my tongue along the inside of his mouth. “Let me take care of you today.”
“By all means.”
