“Ah...hi, Seokjin.”
“Please, it is just Jin.” He Said. He looked down. “And Misa, how wonderful to see you again.” He Said, switching to Japanese.
“Yes, Sir Seokjin. It has been a little while. Shall I prepare some tea for you?”
“That would be lovely.”
“I’ll refill yours as well, Taehyung.”
“Thanks Misa.” She walked out and Jin sat beside me.
“Jungkook never told me you knew more than Chinese.”
“Really? He skipped over the other fifteen?”
“You can speak seventeen languages?”
“Including sign language.”
“Wherever did you find the time to learn?”
“I had all the time in the world when I was younger. Learning was a form of therapy for me.” I laughed. “And look where it’s gotten me. I finally have my dream job.”
“This is your dream job?” He crossed his arms.
“It came with some unexpected conditions. But I’ve always wanted to work at Blue Lily’s. Unfortunately, my brother beat me to that.”
“Yes, your brother, the Little Snake. How is he? You pack quite a punch it would seem.”
“Angry. Probably drunk. Although, he did vent his frustration out on me earlier.” I shrugged. “He likes to take what is mine and make it his own.”
“Interesting. And how, exactly, does your brother vent his frustration?” I froze.
“Hah...you caught that, didn’t you? I suppose I should be more careful with my words when around men like you and Jungkook.”
“I suppose you should. I am surprised by this weakness of yours. It does not seem that you are in love with him. What controls his ability to abuse you in such a way?”
“Nothing I’m comfortable sharing with you. If youyr so curious, just do what Jungkook did. Dig up everything about me and then throw it in my face that you know.”
“That is not how I work. I would rather have someone tell me and then research, to see if they have told me the truth.”
“I’ve only met you today, and you already know something that I’ve never told anybody.”
“Anybody? I would think one such as you would seek help.”
“Let’s just say I wasn’t somebody people would believe over Taemin.”
“You never tried?”
“It wasn’t going to change anything, if I had told somebody. It probably would’ve gotten worse anyway.”
“And here you are, unable to walk, because you don’t want help.”
“I’m done talking about this. I don’t need your input on these things.” Misa came in and handed me some coffee. I took it and thanked her, then she left.
I drank a little, and then put the cup on the nightstand beside the bed. “To change the subject, why would Jungkook make me translate for him if you were fluent in Korean?”
“Isn’t it simple? He wished to test you.”
“He could’ve done it in a better way.”
“Yes, it was poorly planned. I was quite surprised. Even more surprised when I found out that you knowledgeable of what I do.”
“I was slightly aware that Jungkook had shady dealings. Although, he did promise nothing shady on the first day. And I consider dealings with the Chinese Mafia pretty shady.”
“I’m sure you’ll grow to get used to it.”
“And that’s what I’m concerned about. I’m not interested in things like that. Nor am I interested in things like this.” I waved around the room. “Yet it’s all been flung at me.”
“Were you not the one to accept it?”
“I was caught in a bad moment.”
“I still won’t allow you to change your mind.” Jungkook said. I turned to find him leaning against the door frame.
“I’m perfectly aware.” I said flatly. Jungkook laughed.
“I see that you two get along quite well.”
“Yes, a simple conversation and I feel like I need to get to know him more. Won’t you please give him to me?”
“No.”
“Fine.” Jin sighed and stood. “I do hope you feel better, Little Cub. Perhaps I will see you tomorrow if Jungkook decides to let you leave. He’s quite possessive.”
“I can tell.” Jin turned to go, but I grabbed his arm. “I’d appreciate it if you didn’t tell Jungkook...about...you know.” I said in Chinese.
“Why shouldn’t I?”
“I’d feel more comfortable if I told him myself. Plus, he’ll no doubt interrogate me anyway. If not he’ll find out sooner or later.”
“I’d appreciate it if you didn’t speak about me when I can’t understand you.”
“Who’s fault was it for not wanting to learn Chinese then?” Jin shot at a Jungkook. Jin left and I was left alone with Jungkook. He sat in the spot Jin had just vacated and leaned over me.
“What did you say to him?”
“I finished our conversation. You interrupted.”
“And what were you talking about?”
“Why don’t you ask him? Are you going to be so possessive that I can’t even talk to other people without telling you what I spoke of?”
“A valid point. But you forget that you are still mine.”
“I never agreed to that.”
“You did the moment you moved in.”
“I am still not an object to be played with.”
“Of course not. But nonetheless...you are mine.” I snorted as he leaned down and kissed me. I let him, until he left my mouth and moved down onwards my neck.
“Hey, I thought I told you no.” I Said. He smirked.
“So, care to tell me who ruined my first night with you, then? If not, I’ll be taking it anyway.”
