It's so boring over here . I have no friends and all of my cousins that live out here have been busy . I miss Zoey . This is why I didn't even wanna come here . I can't hang out with my friends and do the things I want to do .
Gwen : So Zonnique , you said you have a boyfriend right ?
Zonnique : Yeah
Gwen : Well let's talk about boys .
Zonnique : Why ? I know what you're gonna tell me . They're careless , they tell you anything to get in your pants , and blah blah blah blah blah .
Gwen : I just wanted to know about your boyfriend , that's all .
Zonnique : You're never gonna meet him so why should I even tell you about him ?
Gwen : Because I wanna know what kind of guy my daughter is dating .
Zonnique : STEP daughter . Don't forget the step part , okay ?
Gwen : Listen . I know having a step mom can make you jealous. You think because your father has another woman in his life that he'll pay more attention to me than he do to you. Well I'm not tryna ruin you and your father's relationship . I just want us to be a happy family
Zonnique : Jealous ? I am his daughter . We're blood . What makes your think I'm jealous of a woman who just came into his life ? I mean no disrespect but my daddy has had plenty of girlfriends , finances . You name Em . But they come and go . Me ? I'm going to always be around . He's my father . Our relationship is more important than the relationship he have with you or anybody else . Can't you or no one else come between it
Gwen : *Laughing* You're exactly like he said you were . Out spoken . I love it
Zonnique : Is this girls day over ? I'm ready to go home
Gwen : Not just yet young lady . We're just getting started
She says grabbing my hand and pulling me into the mall . She almost caught a reflex by how hard she snatched my arm .

Zonnique : Horrible , can I go home ?
Daddy : You're at home
Zonnique : You know what I mean . I want to go home with my mama . I don't wanna be here .
Daddy : I don't see why . You didn't miss your pops after all huh ?
Zonnique : You know I missed you . I just wish you could've came and visit . I visit all the time .
Daddy : You call every blue moon all the time ?
Zonnique : *Sighs* Pops , you know the only reason why my mama made me come here is to keep me from my boyfriend . But if she think making me stay here with you is gonna break us up then she's got another thing coming because that's not gonna happen .
Daddy : First of all , fix your tone . Second of all , her sending you here had nothing to do with your damn boyfriend . This is about you meeting your step mom and us spending quality time together as a family .
Zonnique : We're not a family anymore dad ! We been not a family !
Daddy : What makes you say that ?
Zonnique : You and mom broke up a long time ago ! It haven't been a family since then
Daddy : Oh you think because your mom and I are not together that we're -
Zonnique : Yup . We're no longer a family
Daddy : I wish you wouldn't think that . I know you saw women come in and out of my life but Gwen is my wife . We're married and were going to be married for a long long time .
Zonnique : Whatever dad
Daddy : Now I don't know what it is you got against Gwen but she's your step mother . I get it , she's not your mom . But that don't give you the right to disrespect her in any kind of way . All she's been doing is trying to get to know you and spend time with you and you're pushing her away . That's not right Nique .
Zonnique : But -
Daddy : No buts . You know damn well me and your mom did not raise you like that .
Zonnique : Ugh . Okay , I'm sorry .
Daddy : Don't say sorry to me . It's her you need to say sorry too
Zonnique : *Sighs* Fine
Daddy : Gwen , Baby .
Gwen : Yes ?
Daddy : Zonnique has something she would like to say to you
Gwen : I'm listening
Zonnique : *mumbles* I'm sorry
Gwen : What ?
Zonnique : *mumbles* I said I'm sorry
Gwen : I can't hear you honey
Daddy : Speak up !
Zonnique : I'm sorry . I've been disrespectful to you lately and you didn't deserve it .
Gwen : I forgive you
She says as she gives me a hug . Okay , I said I'm sorry but bitch that don't mean I like you and that don't mean we're cool .
