Jorel sighed as he rubbed his tired eyes. He had spent hours sitting upstairs with his sister. He had planned on leaving once she had fallen asleep but Jorel had been too afraid to leave the girl completely defenseless. He slowly made his way down stairs. He had planned on going back to sleep himself but he wanted to be awake if Serena woke up again.

Jorel walked into the living space and looked around wearily before his eyes landed on the thing in the corner. He stopped dead in his tracks and his mouth dropped.

Circe glanced in his direction and smiled as she petted the thing she had controlled by a chain. "Morning handsome."

"Uh good morning." He nodded, he stayed very still as he stared.

Danny rolled his eyes. "Don't mind my sister's pet."

Johnny scoffed. "Isn't it time you go put that thing in its hole?"

Circe stared at him for a moment before huffing. "Maybe Jorel should put you in a hole." She grumbled under her breath.

"Um... I'm sorry...what the fuck is that?"

Circe laughed. "This is Charles." She nodded as she patted the things head or what was left of it anyway. 'Charles' turned its milky white gaze on Jorel before nipping at the air, it's ancient teeth making a horrid sound as they smashed off of each other. It stood at almost 6 feet tall making the girl look even shorter than she was. Thin brown hair stood at odd angles on top of its head. It's grey skin looked dry as if the dust that had settled there was the only moisture it had seen in years.

"Charles?" Jorel looked around the room. Everyone else appeared to be completely calm. "Where, um, did you get Charles?" Jorel asked biting his lip.

The thing lounged but Circe pulled on the chain hard, snapping it back to her side. "The grave yard." She shrugged. "Easy, easy, who's a good boy?" She cooed at the thing that looked at her with dead eyes.

Jorel laughed nervously. "You're all going to make fun of me but..I have no idea what the fuck is going on and I'm freaking out a little."

Circe laughed softly. "I told you, they come back but not like they were."

Jorel stared. "You...made a zombie?"

Circe nodded. "Of course."

"Oh god." Jorel mumbled as he slowly made its way into the room. He stared at the thing that nipped at the air. "Does it bite?"

Johnny made an annoyed noise. "Of course it bites."

Jorel looked at him and nodded before turning his attention back on the monster. "So um..." Jorel laughed nervously. "Can I touch it."

Circe looked surprised but she shrugged. "He might bite you. He doesn't like other people. Huh Charles? No you don't." She cooed. The thing stopped biting the air as it turned to look at Circe. It cocked its head to the side as it leaned into her touch. The girl smiled and Jorel felt his stomach turn.

"Pets don't usually like me but I'll try." Jorel shrugged as he slowly approached the thing, it turned its milky white gaze on him cocking it's head to the side to stare at the boy.

Jorel stopped just close enough to touch it but far enough away that he could jump back if need be. He held its breath as he slowly reached out a hand. The boy thing stared at his appendage for a long moment before taking a step in his direction. Jorel cringed waiting for the pain that never came, it never bit him. Instead the thing leaned its head into his palm.

"Uh hi Charles." Jorel chuckled as the thing rubbed itself against his palm.

Circe looked on dumbfounded. "He likes you?"
