The girl twirled a red curl around her finger. She scrutinized every detail of her being before sighing. Clad in leggings and a grey hoodie with Mason's blue and gold jersey over top, she turned every which way in the mirror. Her eyeliner was winged perfectly, the highlight blessing her cheek bones sparkled against the light. She rubbed her lips together inspecting her lip stick and then her door opened and she jumped.
Danny's brown gaze landed on her and he paused staring. "Are you wearing make up?" He gawked and she hesitated before nodding very slowly. Danny tore his gaze from the girl and rolled his eyes.
"Are you stupid? You don't need make up." He huffed and the girl fidgeted slightly.
She bit her pink lip as she looked over the boy in front of her. Danny was wearing skinny jeans with a black foo fighters shirt, the thin material clung to his body. He shrugged on a black leather jacket and stared back at her.
"Yes?"
"Nothing." She shook her head as she grabbed her cross body purse and pulled it over her shoulder.
Danny rolled his eyes. "Are you done yet? Tal's ready to go."
The girl nodded, feeling even more insecure with how she looked, she brushed past Danny and descended down the stair.
When she came to the bottom of the stairs Charlie smiled at her.
"You look pretty." Charlie smiled and Serena smiled slightly.
"Thank you, Charlie."
Tal glanced at her with an odd expression. "The Egyptians used to wear charcoal on their eyes as well."
Serena paused. "Charcoal? Oh! You mean my eyeliner?"
Tal shrugged. "Perhaps? I haven't a clue what that it is."
Danny came waltzing down the stairs. He stared at the girl again before smirking.
"What?" She asked timidly.
Danny shook his head. "Don't worry about it, princess."
Jorel walked into the room with the grey haired girl and stopped dead in his tracks. "Rena? Are you going some where?"
The girl nearly jumped into his arms. "Jojo, where did you go yesterday? I tried to wait for you to come home but you were out so late I fell asleep." Rena rambled as she clung to the older male.
"I'm sorry. I..You're okay, right?"
The girl nodded. "Tal's dropping me off at Mason's so I can go to his game."
Circe's eyes flew open, stunned. She looked at all the others in the room, her gaze locking with her brothers. Something was off with Danny. He stared at her for a moment before looking down.
"Is he?" Jorel asked, slightly on edge.
The girl took a step back and nodded.
"Darling, if you want to be on time we have to go. The boy's will walk you to the car. I need to speak with Circe for a moment." Tal nodded and Serena bit her lip as she walked towards Danny. Danny rolled his eyes, huffing before he started walking to the car, the girl close of his heels.
"Circe, love, a word." Tal motioned toward the sitting area.
The girl bit her lip as she followed him into the grey room.
He paused, turning around to face her. "You've been spending a lot of time with Jorel."
The girl paled. "It's not like I want to, he just clings to me." She scoffed before biting her lip.
