Ares PoV:
Our little moment was interrupted by several knocks on my bedroom door. "Ughhh." I groaned. I slipped out of Athena's embraced and kissed her on tge forehead before making my way to the door. When I opened it, I saw one of my sons, Aleksandr. "What is it?" I asked, concern lacing my voice. Aleksandr was one of only a select few who could be on par with me when I'm not using my godly powers. "Father, Zeus called for you." Obvious hatred for his adoptive grandfather on his voice. He continued. "It seems there is an emergency meeting about to held in an hour. He's also looking for miss Athena, it seems that they do not know of her whereabouts." He said with amusement. "Okay, would you kindly prepare breakfast. Me and Athena will be down in a few minutes." I said. "Sure, would you like anything in particular?" Aleksandr asked. "Just the usual." I replied. With that said, he just nodded and left. As I was about to go in, I felt two fragile arms encircle my waist. "It seems that we're ecpected at Olympus." I told her. "What will we tell them?" Athena asked with fear on her voice before continuing "I'm sure mother and father will not approve of this." She finished. Tears forming on her eyes. Who knew that the goddess of wisdom could be so emotional? "I don't care whether they approve or not. All I care about is that I love you with all my heart. You are the only person who could make me feel like this." I told her while embracing her. She nods and places her head on the crook of my neck. "I love you too, Ares." She said in between kisses. A knock can be heard at the door. "Father, breakfast's ready." Kayle said. "Okay, we'll be right down." I told her. "Come on, let's go, I'm starving." I said. Athena just just laughed and rolled her eyes. How I love hearing her laugh. We quickly took our armors on. As we walked out of our room, I took her hand. She was blushing. When we came down we were greeted by most of my children. "Where are the others?" I asked them. "Just this morning, Arceus was scouting the mountains from the south, there he found corpes. About 15, all olympian soldiers." Diana replied. Athena's eyes darkened. "No doubt the scouts we sent 3 weeks ago." She said while looking at me. "You don't think there are titans in the south?" She asked me. "Could be possible." I replied. "How many accompanied Arceus?" I asked Diana. "10." She said. She continued "Leone, Hauzer, Benjamin, Valerius, Viscerius, Caine, Stella, Ramiel, Grey, and Ramus chose to accompany Arceus." She finished. "We don't have to worry then." I said with relief. "Why? Aren't you concerned?" Athena said confused. "There are five elite guards in their team." Ares comforted me. "And there's Leone, Hauzer and Caine. Those three can be on par with father when he is not cheating." Alyssa butted in. "Hey!" I exclaimed fainting offense in her words. Max suddenly came in with two trays full of roasted fish, assorted fruits and vegetables. "Ugh that's a lot of vegetables." Athena said while dumbfounded. "Hahaha, come on let's eat." I said while pouncing on the nearest fish earning me a smack on the head coming from Max. "Pops, because you tried to take food from the tray without washing your hands, you're washing the dishes later tonight." Max said with a glare. "Geez such a sourpuss." I exclaimed. "Have you forgotten who I inherited that from?" He said with a smile. "Wooooo, of course not." I said while washing my hands. Athena was trying to stifle a laugh, although she's failing miserably. I smirked. She took my hand and led me to a table where she put some food. We started eating hand in hand. We were enveloped in a very comfortable silence. A very comfortable silence broken by the shenanigans of my children. Diana trying to feed Bruce. Alyssa talking with her fish. She's apparently asking the fish how it got caught. And Alvarez and the others being their casual selves. By casual selves I mean being complete idiots. I stared at Athena. She looked at me and asked "What?" I replied with an "I love you." She blushed a deep crimson and continued to eat, although the food keeps falling back to her plate. "Let me." I said. I took her spoon and mimicked what Diana was doing. Athena was blushing madly. I laughed and kissed her lips tenderly. "I love you too." Athena said while smiling. I looked around the room once again. Everyone was too absorbed with what they're doing. They act like idiots. All of them. But I wouldn't trade any of them for all the riches of the world. Including Athena. Athena watched me and this time she was the one who kissed me. I stared at her. "Eat up. We still have a meeting to attend." She said. With that said. I quickly finished my food. I waited for her to finish hers before holding out my hand. Athena gladly accepts it. "Aleksandr, Alvarez you guys take over here. Me and Athena are needed at Olympus." I told them. "Sure thing father." Aleksandr said while Alvarez just nodded. With that me and Athena left for Olympus hand in hand.
