Ares PoV:
"So it finally starting." I said while releasing an abnormal amount of bloodlust. The other olympians sensed this and glanced at me nervously. Zeus said nothing but was obviously frightened by the sudden feeling of dread in the air. Posiedon reached for his trident but thought against it. Hermes and Apollo were visibly terrified while the others were too afraid to do anything. Athena was looking at me with worry in her eyes. Maybe even fear. This was a side of me they've rarely seen. Upon sensing the distress within Athena, I quickly rushed to her and enveloped her in a warm embrace all while saying "I love you" to her ear. "I'm sorry about that, it seems my inner war demon took over for a second." I apologized to her with much sincerety. Athena and the other olympians was taken aback by my sudden act. It took Athena a few moments before wrapping her arms around my neck and whispering the same words I said whispered to her. She gave me a quick peck on the lips before saying "It's alright, we all have our demons. It's clearly no surprise that you would act like that because you're the god of war. But please control yourself while fighting. Please..." she said the last part more like a plead. "As you wish my love." I reassured her before pecking her on the lips. I was about to let go when she tightened her hold on me. I looked at her and she avoided my gaze all the while having a faint blush. I just smirked and kissed her on the cheecks. The other's were intently watching our rather intimate display of affection. "So any luck on the scouting?" Hera asked Artemis to break the silence. "Uhm... yeah. My hunters expect a hundred thousand warriors marching as we speak. And that's not all, it seems the enemy has an airforce as well as navy." Artemis said with worry on her voice. "Don't worry. I'll take care of the navy. I'll just call if I ever need any back up." Posiedon said with pride. Watching him, the other olympians gathered up their selves and agreed with him. "Okay everyone, I'll call you all again once your presence are needed. Goodnight." Zeus boomed. With that said the other's quickly left. I kissed Athena. We still haven't let go of each other. Athena looked at me with so much love in her eyes and quickly locked her lips with mine. "I love you so much" She said in between kisses. "I love you too". I said back with the same emotion. Athena smiled and pecked me on the lips. I took Athena's hand and we left hand in hand.
