Athena's PoV:
As we walked into Ares's house I was thinking about how to beat him. From what I heard he was a monster in the battlefield. At least that's what I heard from Hermes. Well no matter what I have to do my best. As we walked into the training room, I was shocked at how big it is. It could house at least a hundred people. It's like a miniature arena. There are like a hundred seats, some are empty while some have occupants. From the looks of it all of them are acolytes. And in the center there are 8 acolytes waiting for us. It looks like this is the elite guards Ares was talking about. From what I can see they are elites, just that man in the center is huge, his twice as big as Ares. If his on par with Ares I doubt my hoplites could beat him. "Hey you gotta stop worrying. This is only training." Ares said with a smile. I was about to say something when I saw that we were still holding hands. I was blushing like a tomato. I hope no one saw that. I was wrong, I could feel 33 eyes drilling a hole into head. Ares saw what was happening and quickly let go of my hand. Too quick if I might say. "Come on everyone pay some some respect she is the goddess of wisdom." Ares said to break the ice. One girl in the crowd above said "Father, don't tell me its 9 against 1?" "Hahaha don't worry Chelsea. Athena's cavalry will be arriving shortly." Ares said while motioning for me to summon my hoplites. "Well, okay here goes nothing." I focused my mind and summoned 8 hoplites. Everyone in the room was shocked. At the front door stood 8 heavily armored hoplites. "You called for us lady Athena?" One of them said. "Yes, we will train with Ares and his acolytes." I said to them. They nodded and looked at their opponents, they may look intimidating in all that armor but for Ares's elite guards they look like little children. I could easily feel the difference between our powers. I went over to my hoplites while Ares went over to his acolytes. "What's the plan lady Athena?" One of them asked. I dont know all of there names because I dont bother to know them at all. "We cant win in an all out brawl with these guys. We'll get pummeled quite easily. So we'll take them down one by one. You five will shield as from there attacks while you three will follow me on the offensive, got it." I said to them. "Yes ma'am" all of them said in unison. "Okay, Red team are you ready? Blue team are you ready?" Chelsea announced. "Yeah" both of our teams said together. "Then let the fight begin." She said aloud. We quickly advanced to the enemy closest to us and did our plan. While me and the other three attacked, the five remaining hoplites defended against the acolytes attacks. We quickly defeated five of them as they favored to fight alone. The only ones remaining are Ares, Alexei, Alvares, and the huge one. As for my team, we are still complete. "Alrick, break their lines!!!" Alexei ordered. Alrick did as Alexei commanded. He was fast for his size. He quickly knocked out three of my hoplites. "What strength." One of my hoplites said. He charged at me at full speed, bad idea. As he was closing in on me, I jumped on his back and hit his head with the butt of my sword. He fell unconscious on the ground. "Alexei, Alvares stand down." Ares ordered. "Yes father." Both of them said without hesitation. As I was watching them, Ares quickly dashed at us and easily knocked out all of my hoplites. I was too shocked to move. He looked at me and motioned for us to fight. I complied. I jabbed him with my spear but he was too fast. He butted me with his sword, I barely blocked it with my shield. After that quick exchange he hit me with a palm strike to the gut, I forgot that he was only carrying a sword. I was sent several meters away from just that palm strike. I stood up and he hit me again with another palm strike to the gut. I couldn't move my body and fell unconscious. When I woke up, it was already night. I was in a bed though I dont know who it belonged to. Ughhh I hate it when I dont know something. I was about to get off of bed when I noticed I didnt have my armor.I was wearing a simple night gown. I looked around the room and saw my armor neatly stacked on a cabinet. I just layed in bed after that. I heard footsteps outside the room. Someone knocked on the door. "Come in" I said "Great you're awake." Ares said as he walked in. Ares was wearing something like a... what was those mortals wearing these days? Shorts. Yes shorts. I could see his pecks and abs. I blushed at the sight. I hadn't noticed before but it seems Ares brought something. "I brought dinner as you were unconscious for a long time." My lips pouted when I heard that I was unconscious for a long time. Ares set the food down on the table and sat right next to me. "Im sorry if I had to hit you that hard." Ares apologized as he was holding my hand. I blushed and quickly took one of the plates he prepared and began eating. He also took the remaining plate and began to eat. He smiled at me as we were eating, I couldn't stop blushing. When we were done eating he set the dishes on the table and sat again with me. He looked at me and quickly kissed me on the lips, it was back like then. It was so good that I couldn't stop blushing. "What was that for?" I asked him. "You remember our little bet? If I remember correctly, if I win I get a kiss." He explained. I was happy cause he kissed me while also sad because he kissed because of a bet. Ares must have noticed something cause he took my hand and kissed me again. I was too shocked to do anything. He broke the kiss to look at my face. I hugged him tightly and this time I was the one who kissed him. We were kissing so passionately that we forgot the door was still open. We saw Alexei and Alvares outside the door. "Is she going to be like our mother or something?" Alexei suddenly blurted out. Alvares smacked him on the head. "Im sorry if we disturbed you, we wont tell anyone. Please dont get mad." Alvares apologized. "Its okay. When you leave please close the door." Ares said while having a sheepish look. The two men nodded and closed the door. I giggled at Ares. He looked at me again and I kissed him while he hugged me tightly. After our little kissing session was done. We laid on the bed cuddling each other until we both got tired and Ares said goodnight to me and kissed me on the forehead. I couldn't stop smiling after that.
