Athena's PoV:
The breakfast was wonderful. I thought as I smiled happily. My smile faltered when I remembered when we used to have breakfast like that. Our family... the Olympians. They're too pre-occupied with themselves that they forgot we're a family. My father is in the top of mount Olympus, uncle Posiedon's deep below the depths of the ocean, while uncle Hades is in the darkness of the Underworld. Hmm... now that I think about it, we never have breakfast together or have outings for that matter. I'm very happy that I experienced what it is to be in a family thanks to Ares. I love him so much...
When we got to the top of Mount Olympus, Ares took my hand and we walked in casually, ignoring the shocked stares of the other Olympians. Once we were seated, Father regained his senses. "What is the meaning of this?" He asked. "We love each other." Ares replied cooly. I blushed at him and he kissed my cheek tenderly. Once again the other Olympians were left shocked. Out of the corner of my eyes, I saw Aphrodite with a look of jealousy in her eyes. "So... are you like getting married or something?" Hermes and Apollo asked in unison. I haven't thought about that maybe Ares doesn't like to get married? What should I do? "Yes. I plan to marry Athena once the war is finished. So Athena, care to make the happiest man in Olympus?" Ares spoke with a fiery determination in his eyes. I was shocked. Tears started forming on my eyes and I did the only thing that I can think of... I kissed him on the lips tenderly. It was a short kiss, but it was the kiss were I put in all of the love that I have for him. I smiled at him. "YES!" I practically yelled. This time it was Ares who kissed me, I kissed back but we were interrupted by a scoff from Father. "Ok... is everyone fine with this?" Father asked. "Yes!" Hera practically squealed. "Now about the meeting." Posiedon's eyes darkened. "The war is about to start next week."
