Raura- the country life

A few weeks later

Ross' POV

I have been getting better at fixing fences after Laura taught me and I am enjoying my life right now I don't want to go back to the city because it ain't quiet as it is here. Right now I am helping my uncle with the fence that goes around our garden.

Ross' uncle: you're getting good at this Ross

Ross: thanks uncle I had a great teacher

Ross' uncle: let me guess Laura

Ross: yeah 

Ross' uncle: you two have gotten quite close lately

Ross: we are best friends 

Ross' uncle: okay

Ross: I have finished the fence

Ross' uncle: okay 

Ross: can I go over to Laura's?

Ross' uncle: Ross you can't

Ross: why not?

Ross' uncle: Laura isn't here 

Ross' uncle: where is she?

Ross' uncle: she has gone out for a horse riding competition 

Ross: oh 

Ross' uncle: she will be back in a few days

Ross: okay

I walked over to Laura's farm and saw her horse gone but I noticed that her horse needed cleaning out so I unlocked the door since I watched Laura do it anyway I got some hay and put it beside the door and got everything I would need to clean the horse out.

I cleaned the stable and put new hay down I looked at the food and water they seemed fine so I walked out of the stable and locked the door and I went to check the shelter that they keep the logs and I saw they had not many so I got some wood and chopped it.

*After 25 minutes*

I finished chopping wood and they had 26 pieces of wood I put it in the shelter since Laura has been kind to me I want to return the favour anyway I put the axe away and I saw hay bails in a shed I got them and put them in the tractor. 

Once I finished everything I had dirt on my face and on my hands but I didn't care I made my way to my aunt and uncle's farm. 

*At Ross' aunt and uncle*

I got to my aunt and uncle's farm they saw me and looked worried and confused.

Ross' aunt: what happened?

Ross: oh I helped Laura

Ross' uncle: but Laura isn't here

Ross: I know I went to her farm and cleaned out her stables and I chopped some wood for her

Ross' aunt: when have you become good at that stuff?

Ross: Laura taught how to live a country life and I wanted to help her for what she did for me 

Ross' aunt: you are so sweet Ross

Ross: *smiles* I wanted to return the favour

Ross' uncle: you don't need to do anything else since everything is done

Ross: okay 

I went up the stairs and I took a shower.

Laura's POV

I just finished my competition and I came first I then walked princess to the horse box and I got in the car once I fastened her in then I got in my truck my parents came with me so my dad is driving and I am in the back.
