NAOMI
I was stuck in a hole, cold and alone. I heard an agonized wail from Ayumi, then her painful puttering as she hurried away. My ankle was near to breaking, and I sighed quietly. Bodies littered the floor everywhere, blood sticking on my school uniform unpleasantly. Even if I gave Ayumi a hint that I was alive, she'd never get down here unless she captured herself with me.
I hummed a song, trying to cheer myself up. Darkness surrounded me, and I felt like a trespasser. What if all these souls desired flesh? Alive, fresh flesh? I shuddered at the brutal thought, wrapping my hands around my knees. I whispered nervously, "Hello? Please don't eat me." "Don't leave me, Sacchi-chan... I tried to stop you... You wouldn't listen..." Nearly frightened to death, I slowly glanced at the source of the raspy, dull voice. Yes. The Lady with the Crooked Neck has returned, 'avenging her daughter's death.' "Yoshie..." I whispered fearfully. Her eyes glowed, but only for a second.
I glimpsed red, and I shuddered. "SACCHI-CHAN!" she suddenly roared, lunging at me. I screamed, helpless and frozen with shock. "Naomi!" I released another loud yet obnoxious screech as Ayumi blocked me, leaving me safe and unharmed. Yoshie, in extreme disappointment, vanished in a cloud of black. "Ayumi!" I sobbed, gazing at my best friend. She was bleeding terribly, and I put my hands on her scratches in panic. "There's so many!" I exclaimed, switching my glance from each sets of blood leaking out.
"Just... leave... rope..." she croaked, and I shushed her. I had no choice, and I couldn't agree with my modesty. My cheeks were the color of roses, but I ripped my shirt to shreds, clogging the cuts. Hopefully, Shinozaki wouldn't mind. We were both female, anyway, and for crying out loud, I bathed with Seiko! "Y-your shirt..." "Shush! I don't care about my shirt, and neither should you! Worry about your injuries!" I snapped, crossing my arms.
She chuckled, but laid her head against the floor in exhaustion. "You're going to be quite sexy to Mochida, you know, Naomi," she choked humorously. I stroked her cheek absentmindedly. "I'll just borrow a fresh shirt from a corpse," I say without disgust. "Naomi..." Ayumi began to sat up, but I forced her back down.
"I'm wounded... seriously wounded," she started. "How can we get back up?" "I'll suffer through the hassle of carrying you," I state blindly. Really, Naomi? I chastised myself in a frown. "Come on, I hate when you scowl like that," she complained, pouting. I turned my attention to the main conflict. "Look, Shinozaki, pretend I'm Yoshiki, okay?" I say, hoisting her up on my shoulders before she could get a single consonant or vowel out of her mouth.
