AYUMI
God... oh, oh God... JESUS CHRIST! I bolted up, panting as recollections of memories swirled inside my head. Yuka... Satoshi... order of attack... Mayu... Morishige... killer meeting... The timer! Satoshi stole my timer! I checked my wrist frantically, and sure enough, it wasn't there. I cursed under my breath as I climbed to my feet. How can I know how much more time I have to appease Yuka and Satoshi? I growled, low in my throat as I walked back towards the bomb shelter.
"I hate you so much, Mochida..." I muttered softly as I glanced around. Satoshi rearranged the design of Heavenly Host, so I'll waste my precious time searching around like an idiot for a route to the bomb shelter, even though I was right there! I started to question my survival, the world's survival, as I glanced around, trying to pinpoint the dang shelter. I already gave myself to Yoshiki... no going back. Oh, I was foolish! The world will end because of my rash decision! Then what will I do? What will the human race do? Only the spirits will roam the broken earth, helpless to Sachiko's wrath.
I started to cry, and I forced myself to stop. I sunk down to my knees, sobbing into my hands. "I'm sorry... I'm so, so sorry..." I cried out, my hands already slick with tears. I have no idea why I was breaking down like this. All my friends will be with me. Perhaps the idea of living forever in the aftermath of a destroyed world makes me miserable. But then, I understand. My family. My family is probably dying right now! They'll wonder where I am. They'll be certain I died somewhere. No... no, I can't take this... no!
"NO!" I scream, feebly trying to stand up and run, attempting to run and go to the nearest window. "No, get me out of here!" I yelled again, losing my balance and falling down after I took two steps. Instead, I just hurriedly crawled to the nearest window, pounding on it, but the glass (if it even was glass) didn't even crack. "Please... please... I can't endure another second in here... please..." I whispered, pressing my face against the cold window. I only suffered pain here. Pain and loss. Every single one of my friends are dead. Even Naomi. She was my only source of sanity... now I have no one. Just myself. Myself...
I sobbed into my sleeves, my hands sliding down the window, tears dripping down it into my hair. I sat there, crying, waiting for death, waiting for it to all be over, but I felt a hand on my shoulder. I glanced up, and saw Kishinuma smiling down at me, though it wasn't a joyous smile. "Hi, Ayumi," he greeted me, sitting himself down next to me, "what's wrong?"
I scoffed at him. "You know very well what's wrong!" I answered bitterly. "The world is about to face its end because of me, and what if I don't appease the siblings in time? Then Heavenly Host will be the only place on the planet, devoid of happiness, a cursed school..." I trailed off my rant into silence. yoshiki put his arm around my shoulders comfortingly.
"It isn't your fault, and you will appease Yuka and Satoshi," he assured me firmly, locking his eyes onto mine. "I know you will." With that, he vanished, and the bomb shelter was a few hundred yards away! Startled, I slowly rose to my feet, staring at the bomb shelter entrance. It wasn't a mirage. It was real! I sprinted towards it, laughing, thanking Kishinuma repeatedly, until the darkness engulfed me, and I was heading back towards Satoshi's lair.
SACHIKO
I strode across a farmer's plain, a grin splitting my face. I managed to corrupt and destroy six of the seven continents. All I have left is Antarctica, and planet Earth will be cooked shards! I left Heavenly Host untouched, since it was my former domain, and tortured souls will take up the space. "Hey, are you the devil's wife or what?" the farmer shouted at me, shaking his fist. I threw him a cold, breezy smile. I held up my fist, and clenched it.
"What, sir?" I inquired with mock sweetness as the farmer laced a hand around his throat, oxygen leaving him swiftly as he struggled to breathe. "I didn't hear you." I laughed as I observed him suffer. I also killed humans. Oh, the fun and beauty of it all! I continued to laugh, but faltered as the farmer's wife raced out to see what the commotion was. The farmer was on the brink of death, but my satisfaction was cut short by his wife's sobbing and screaming.
"You monster!" she exclaimed tearfully, tugging her husband's arm. "Please, please Daniel, get up!" she screeched, tears flying from her face. "I... l-love... y-you..." the farmer choked out, and the light faded from his eyes, and his hurried breathing settled to no breathing. Before the foolish farmer's wife called the cops, I swiftly jogged away, my newly torn red dress trailing behind me.
Thankfully, I don't have to deal with her when the world ends.
