Riker

"The baby is a boy." Linsey said and I smile.

"Okay thanks Linsey." I say and pull her into my arms.

"Your welcome Riker. I have to go home. I'll see you later." She says and kisses my cheek. She leaves the house and I sigh. A baby boy!

I walk back into the kitchen with somewhat of a smile on my face. As much as I can considering my husband, well soon to be whatever, my husband isn't here with me. He didn't hear the news I just found out. I sigh again and eat my breakfast.

"Bye dad see you after school." Layla says and leaves.

I take the dishes over to the sink and start washing them, thinking. Hoping This talk with Ross with be a good talk and he will be back home with me where he belongs.

I jump a mile when I feel arms wrap around me. I turn around and see Ross standing there looking up at my sheepishly. I tightly wrap my arms around him and hold him against me.

"Ross. I've missed you so much." I whisper.

"I've missed you to Rik. And it's been a day."

"Please come home." I whisper and let a few tears fall.

"I can't." He whispers on the verge of tears.

"Why not? You love me then why not?" I sob.

"Because Rik. I've thought about this a little bit. Maybe.. Maybe we shouldn't be doing this. Maybe we made a mistake for falling in love, dating."

"What? How could you say that?" I say somewhat loudly with tears rolling down my cheeks. "Is this about me or Layla anymore?"

"I don't know. I love you to death. You're my baby." He says tears falling. "No no I can't leave you. I need you." He says and clings to me again.

"Please Ross. Please stay here where you belong." I whisper quietly wiping my tears.

"I-I don't know baby." He says and I look into his eyes.

"Okay how about we wait until Layla gets home and see what she says because you're here."

"Alright." He gives in.

"Okay good." I say and kiss him passionately.

"I love you." He whispers.

"I love you to baby." I say an kiss his cheek. "Let's go upstairs and watch a movie."

"Okay." He says and we head up to our room holding hands. We reach our room and I sit on the bed with Ross laying his head in my lap.

"I have some news." I say quietly and smile.

"What?" Ross asks with a smile on his lips. Probably seeing mine.

"Our baby... It's gonna be a boy." I say and his smiles wides significantly.

"Really? I've always wanted a boy Riker!" He says so happy.

"I know you have so what do you wanna name him?"

"Luka."

"You're positive that's the name you wanna use?"

"Yes I love that name so much."

"I really like it to!"

"But for a middle name? You can pick!"

"Okay... James"

"Luka James Lynch. I love it!" He says so happy. It brightened his mood a ton!

"Me to baby. Me too." I say and kiss him passionately.
