"Alright class, there's something you all need to know." Mrs Tang informed.
"These last two weeks will be your pair projects that will be calculated in your overall when you graduate. You're supposed to pair up with a Korean student and find out information from him or her about the history, culture and traditions of Korea. Afterwhich, the both of you would have to present it to the class in a creative way. You could act out a skit, or dance or even sing, it will be up to the both of you." She continued, "You are all allowed to pair up with other students from other classes."
Since it was that way, I wanted to ask whether Jimin, Jungkook or Taehyung were free to be my partner for the project, but I think I was too late when I mustered up the courage to ask them.
"I'm sorry Austelle, but I'm already Hayen's partner for the project you're talking about." Jungkook stared at me sadly. I had asked him during a class that we shared after lunch, which was music, but apparently Hayden got to him during lunch.
I decided to ask Taehyung over text that night, but he replied saying "OMG I'm so sorry Austelle! Gevonne asked me this afternoon during lunch, and I agreed without thinking twice. I think Jimin is the only one who doesn't have a partner though, so maybe you could ask him? I still love you! Again, I'm sorry😢😘"
Well, typical Taehyung but it's alright, I guess I'll have to ask Jimin.
To be honest, I had hoped I didn't need to ask Jimin to be my partner because it would still be kinda awkward between us, hence I asked Jungkook and Taehyung first.
Signing, I layed down on my bed and tried not to think about Jimin that night, awaiting morning to come.
The next morning, I chickened out again on asking Jimin to be my partner, so I vowed to do it during lunch when all three of us would be sitting together.
When I finally tried during lunch... Well, I guess you already know the result.
Adiata had asked him this morning, and since he was her boyfriend, he couldn't refuse.
He apologised, before giving me a hug and heading over to where Adiata, Hayen, Gevonne, Jungkook and Taehyung where sitting. They had to discuss about the project of course.
In the end, I winded up asking Stephanie to be my partner after lunch, which she agreed, thankfully.
If I couldn't find anyone to work with, I'd have to do it on my own, which would be really hard.
