Chapter 6

                          Surprise

It's been 5 months since I met Ethan. He asked me to be his girlfriend 2 months ago. I said yes

I was outside Marcus's house, relaxing in the sun. I was laying on a towel with my eyes closed

"Excuse me? I just had to stop and tell you that you are absolutely gorgeous!" I heard

I opened my eyes to find Ethan standing there with some flowers for me

I blushed and smiled "Thank you"

I took the flowers and walked inside to find a vase for them.

Ethan sat down at the table as I filled a glass vase up

"What do you wanna do today?" He asked me

"I was think-"

"Y/n needs to train today" Marcus interrupted me

I smiled and rolled my eyes "I've trained plenty Marcus. I'll be ready for whatever comes our way" I set the flowers down in the middle of the table

"How do you know?" He asked

"I just do" I winked at him and walked to my room to change out of my bikini.

I was still wearing Talia's clothes. Marcus allowed me to use her room too

I didn't feel comfortable with that at first, but he reassured me it was okay and he felt honored by it

I put on a pair of dark navy blue leggings, a plain black tank top, and my black boots

I put my hair in a ponytail and walked out to the kitchen

"Y/n I have a feeling something is going to happen soon. Please stay close to me" Marcus grabbed my hand

"Marc it's okay! If anything happens we can always call one another" I smiled and touched his forehead

During my mind training Marcus taught me how to communicate with him through thoughts.

If one of us concentrates hard enough they can find the others mind. The other will feel them trying to talk and open their mind. We can then speak freely no matter where we are

Marcus smiled at me and kissed my hand

I walked outside with Ethan and he put his arm around my shoulder

"Should I be worried about ol' Marc in there?" He raised his eyebrow and chuckled

"Marcus is like a father to me. And I'm like 100% positive he sees me as his second daughter. He cares about me Eth. I've grown to love the old man" I giggled and wrapped my arm around his waist

He pulled me close and kissed my head

"Where are we going?" I asked

"Somewhere" he said

I rolled my eyes and gently hit his chest

"You'll see!" He chuckled and rubbed his chest

We ended up at his restaurant

"Oh how sweet. You brought me to the spot where we had our first date! And our second. And third. And four-"

"Okay! I get it! We ALWAYS eat here" he laughed and opened the door for me

I walked in and it was empty and dark

"Ethan?" I turned as he closed the door behind him

He flicked on the lights and his employees all jumped up and yelled
