Chapter Five

Chapter Five : An Introduction And A Reunion Between Old Friends

Riker's P.O.V

I don't know how long me and Annabelle stayed in each other's arms, but I know it wasn't long enough. I could have spent all of eternity with my mate in my arms.

" We should probably introduce you " Anna said as she slowly pulled out of my embrace.
" Later " I mumbled as I pulled her back into my arms.

I didn't want to let her go. Neither did Jax and Leon.

Anna's sweet laugh echoed around the room before I felt her arms wrap around my waist.

" Come on lover boy " Anna laughed as she once again pulled away a few moments later.

She kept our hands entwined as she lead me out off her office and into a large room that could probably fit my whole pack and a couple thousand more inside. A few moments after we stepped inside, Parker, Lily and Ashton entered from another door.

" Aston, call a meeting please " Anna asked politely.
" Sure thing " Aston said with a nod.

I looked at Lily with a blank expression. I didn't feel mad or betrayed, I felt oddly ok with everything. I guess I would have done the same thing if I was her.

Lily's hand was entwined with Parker's. They were mates? I felt my stomach sink. Parker had to watch as me and Lily were together, and he couldn't say anything. I felt horrible, I couldn't even imagine the pain he must have went though.

Parker and Lily walked towards us and I gave them both a small smile.

" I'm not mad Lily. If anything I should be thanking you. And I'm sorry you had to watch your mate be with me Parker. Even if it was pretend. " I said calmly.
" We're good man. I've got my mate, you've got yours. No hard feelings " Parker smiled.
" Thank god " Lily mumbled before she step forward and pulled me into a small hug.

Annabelle and Parker both let out a low growl. It was a warning growl.

Lily laughed before letting me go and stepping into Parker's waiting arms. Annabelle stepped beside me and wrapped her arms around my waist. I smiled down at her and wrapped my arm around her shoulders.

" They're on their way " Ashton announces as he enters the room.

He looks at us and sighs.

" I'm also the only one who's all alone. Lovely". 

Annabelle's P.O.V

I laughed at Ashton and how weird he was. He always knew how to make people laugh. I couldn't wait for him to find his mate.

Finding my mate, it was incredible. I feel blessed to be standing here in my mates arms and surrounded by people I love.

Thousands of voices sounded from the hallways leading into the meeting room. I smiled at the thought of finally introducing my mate to the rest of the rebels.

Rebels. Most people didn't like being called one, but us, we loved it. We were ready for change, for a better world. We were ready to fight for what he believed in.

" We'll leave you too it " Parker said as he stepped away from us and joined the rest of the rebels who were now entering the room.

" Let's do this " I mumbled.

Riker's P.O.V

Annabelle lead me towards the front of the room. Everyone's eyes were on us.

" Hello rebels " Annabelle greeted with a smile.

Everyone smiled and cheered at the sight of her. She was obviously loved here. She was like their leader.

" I'd like to introduce to you the newest member on our side of the rebellion. My mate, Riker " Annabelle said as she looked at me.

Everyone was silent for a few moments. I started getting nervous. Did they hate me? Then everyone cheered. Louder than they did when Annabelle first greeted them. People yelled congratulations or comments about how me and Annabelle looked cute together. I smiled and Annabelle laughed before giving me a hug.

" They love you " She whispered.
" Not as much as they love you beautiful " I replied.

A blush made its way onto Annabelle's face.

" Awe she's so cute " Leon commented.
" What an adorable mate we have " Jax said.

I smiled and kissed Annabelle's forehead.

Lily, Parker and Aston walked towards us with smiles on their faces.

" They love both of you and together. You two will lead the rebellion to victory " Lily smiled.
" We'll win " Parker said with his own smile on his face.

The applause then began to fade and people started exiting the room. Everyone seemed happy with my introduction.

Then, a slow clap echoed throughout the room.

" What a lovely mate you scored yourself kid " A new voice said.

That voice.

I turned my head towards the familiar voice that I hadn't heard in many years.

" Elijah " I gasped.

How was this possible?

" Hey kid. Long time no see ".
