Forever Begins

Chapter 8: Back To Where We Came

           As Jacob and Gareth kept thinking of women according to their likes. They decided to go back to the village and visit Gabriel and see how he is faring with strangers. They also wanted to know if he found his so called love.

Jacob said, "Gareth lets go back to Gabriel and see if he is okay."

Gareth noddingly replied, "Great idea Jacob I always wondered what could have happened to him."

"Then let us immediately depart so that we would be there by morning", Jacob answered.

"Very well if you insist then let us depart already", Gareth complied.

         As the two men left their mugs and beers at the table and packed their things. Jacob remembered Clarisse who was with them all this time. How could he be such a fool all this time he ignored her and wasn't even able to notice her. He felt sorry for her how Jacob wished he could right his wrong. So Jacob approached Clarisse hoping she would be on good terms with him despite his failure of not being there for her.

"Clarisse I am very sorry for being such an ignorant", Jacob said sadly.

Clarisse replied smiling, "It's okay you don't know me".

Jacob answered back. "It is not about knowing you. A lady should be treated as a queen not just any garbage or puppet lying about anywhere.

          Clarisse was impressed at Jacob's words he was being so sweet she thought. Jacob actually liked her he just don't know how to treat girls the way they should. After all he always was in the company of Gabriel who also doesn't know how to treat girls properly. Jacob said to himself, " I must find a way to repay my shortcomings to her." 

        Meanwhile Gabriel and Ana were still both thinking about each other as if they were connected even if they are far from each other. Gabriel wished nothing more just to be with her forever wherever this may lead may it be death nor life. Ana however was afraid at the thought of Gabriel dying for her when the kingdom finds out their forbidden love. How could they live their lives if they will forever be hiding from the world. 

        Clarisse also prepared her things she wanted to come along again with Jacob and Gareth. Gareth again noticed the motive of Clarisse why does she keep sticking close to them. Was she looking for something or was she longing to be with someone. Clarisse knew that Gareth knows she plans to come along. So again Gareth asked Clarisse why was she so determined to come along with them? But this time he talked gently and nicely for he knew Jacob will confront him once again.

"Why do you insist on staying with us?", Gareth asked.

She replied saying, "I like your friend Jacob"

"What?! You like someone you don't even know", he said surprisingly.

"People don't need to much sunlight to see goodness in the heart of person just a glow can reveal everything", Clarisse said.

        Gareth no longer argued he believed she was right and maybe that's the problem with him he doesn't appreciate anyone except his friends. He was always acrimonious to people around him as if he hated the world.

He asked himself saying, "Why am I so rude and snobbish to people?".

Jacob heard him and said, "It is because you lack love my friend when you learn to love it will all be gone."

        The duo went back to the village now with Clarisse to look for Gabriel. On the way Jacob and Clarisse grew more fond of each other. It was like they knew each other like childhood friends, Gareth was proud of his friend he admired Jacob's courage to face girls. While he was always shy and acrimonious to people around him. Morning came and they arrived to the village where Gabriel is, they immediately went to the inn for they knew that is where he would be staying.
