Forever Begins

Chapter 7: The Couple's Love

         Ana lay beside Gabriel in the open field looking up in the beautiful night sky with stars filling the horizon. She was having the time of her life after all her love was with her. Gabriel felt the same way overflowing joy filled his heart how could he not be? He has finally found the woman of her dreams he prayed that God would not let it happen despite of inevitable tests and trials that would come. Gabriel put his arms around Ana making her feel comfortable and safe around him. Ana was like a child she couldn't contain what her heart was experiencing. But a thought made Ana think all this has to end someday but she knew it wouldn't be soon enough. For she knew God wasn't cruel and selfish he is a God of love also he wants his creation to enjoy each other especially when a man meets his match.

        Ana asked Gabriel of how would they live together as couple after all they have disobeyed and disregarded the law the king decreed. Gabriel was also worried for he knew he had put Ana's life in vain how could he face Ana's father Edward. Still Gabriel wouldn't give up just because of a law that bounds two forbidden worlds to fall in love. Gabriel knew it was now or never for a chance like this would never come again. As the two kept laying there on the grass on the cold night, Gabriel told Ana it was time to leave and wait for tomorrow.

Gabriel said,  "Ana its getting late I need to take you home."

Ana complied saying, "Okay, when will we see each other again?"

Gabriel answered smiling, "Haven't I told you already?(laughs) We will see each other forever from this day on."

   Ana blushed at the words of Gabriel he just knew his way with women. lt made Ana like him more for he knew what words to say. He is not even afraid of making mistakes when his taking chances in what his doing. Little did Ana know Gabriel believed in something about how love can thrive. Gabriel was a devoted man of God he believed his words and he lived by it unknown to his father. He believes that the only way to treat a lady is to respect her and give her importance more than things that you love. Gabriel knew he had to deny himself from earthly things to give Ana the compassion and care that she is looking for him. 

    Gabriel led Ana through the door through their house as they arrived late in the night. Gabriel looked into Ana's eyes he saw sadness and happiness. 

Ana softly said, "I wish I had the power to control time so I can stop it where we are together."

Gabriel replied gently, "If you stop time there will be no memories to cherish for we will always stay in the moment that never moves on. It will be better if we let time flow so you and I will always have the fire for each other."

   Edward suddenly came out of nowhere, he was merely smiling at the two. He saw delight in his daughter's eyes she was just in love. Great joy overcame Edward he held back his tears with the knowledge of his daughter would be leaving her soon. Gabriel said farewell to Ana and left for the inn, Gabriel somehow felt he never wanted to leave this place. He was willing to give up the crown and live as a commoner just to be with Ana. After all his life would be meaningless if his love wasn't there for he knew wealth nor riches could buy happiness. Happiness is gained not bought and can only be obtained from God who will decide what type of happiness you would have. 

  Meanwhile Jacob and Gareth drank with their mugs full of beer they were like men sober of not being in love. They planned to go visit Gabriel and see if he is doing well or has any progress at all. Clarisse also wanted to go with them after all she had taken a liking to Jacob she found him attracting and very kind. Jacob came to her aid when Gareth was forcing her to leave she wondered why would such a man rescue a stranger. The thought made her even more puzzled suddenly drunk thugs came by looking for trouble. Gareth and Jacob stood up irritated and annoyed by the sight and smell of this men. Jacob looked at them straight in the eyes seeing if there was any terror and he saw none. These men were looking for a fistfight and they just came to the right place. The two parties were preparing to fight each other rubbing their knuckles. Jacob and Gareth were out numbered the thugs were four in their group and there was only two of them. Still Jacob and Gareth never felt any nervousness or cowardness they knew they had the advantage. They were not just friends of the Prince they were also trained swordsman and fighters. 

Jacob angrily said, "Leave now or you will suffer my wrath!"

The thug replied, "(Laughs) You hear that lads he says we gonna suffer!"

Gareth scowled back at them saying aloud, "You had your warning we will not ask again! Leave now!"

The thugs altogether shouted, "NEVER!!!! Hyaaaarrghhhhh!!!!"

        So the thugs came rushing towards them Jacob and Gareth moved out of the way dodging the blow. Jacob punched the first thug in the jaw knocking him out. Gareth also punched the other thug in the jaw breaking it. So the leader and his coward accomplice were remaining they too charged relentlessly like fools being led to a slaughter. Jacob elbowed the leader in the nose then punched him in the gut putting him down he even kicked the leader's side. Gareth landed a flurry of blows to accomplice for he knew this one was a coward. The thugs were all beaten up badly other men threw them out and let the guards arrest them. So the two went back to their oldselves and kept on drinking. Clarisse tried to stop Jacob but he was already drunk and out of his mind. He could no longer think straight unlike Gareth who remained composed and organized of himself.

       Gabriel woke up early morning and went to the woods to train himself after all he was the best swordsman in the kingdom not even his closest friends could best him. As he was walking through the woods he once again thought of Ana. Sh was all over his mind he pictured her face, wondering when shall they meet again.

        Ana awoke with a smile on her face last night was the best night of life. Her Prince charming was with her and confessed his love for her. She couldn't wait to see Gabriel again how she wished he could come by. Edward walked through Ana's room checking if she is awake, he wanted to know what happened.

Edward greeted Ana saying, "Good morning Ana!"

"Good morning father!", she replied

Edward asked, "How did it go?"

Ana happily said, "It was perfect father it was the most wonderful feeling time I've had. Gabriel confessed his love for me can you believe it father?"

Edward joyfully replied, "Haha! I believe it alright I guess he did it after all."

Ana asked wondering,  "What you knew?"

Edward answered pretending, "Of course not? Anyway I am very proud lf your stubborn heart has finally found a fine man.(Laughs)"

Ana said, "You really think were a good couple?"

Edward replied,  "Of course you will in fact I will now release you my child you may go to him unrestricted. I have complete faith in that fellow he is admirable.

      Ana never felt more glad than hearing her father support her love for Gabriel even now she had her hopes up that this would be the man she will be with forever. She immediately dreamed of having a family with him where they could live in a house quietly with a simple life. But this was impossible to happen for Gabriel was a Prince and is destined to be king.

       Gabriel was thinking over and over about Ana. He also was amazed how God could put two people together in an instant he realized that love is not about how long you have been with that person. It was about who God destined you to be with. Gabriel was always a Godly person he believed that he was always there for him through his friends or in any given event that has happened. His faith just grew more stronger when he fell in loved with Ana.

       Ana and Gabriel unknowingly thought of each other they just could not linger anymore away from each other. Gabriel was just madly in love with her especially she after all is his first love and his last. Ana also was madly in love with Gabriel even though she had a lot of suitors in their village she instead fell in love with a stranger.
