With a bottle of scotch in my hand, hair sticking out in every which way, tie hanging loosely around my neck, and drunk out of my mind. I walked out of my apartment and stumbled into the elevator.
I was looking around for James...You remember the belhop? I havent seen him in a while. I stumbled out into the street trying to put the key in my car door to get to Elena. She's been gone for almost three hours now and I miss her already. I fucked up real bad this time.
"Excuse me sir, I do not think you should be driving. Maybe you should call someone to help you" some woman said to me.
"No! You women are dangerous, stay away from me! She did this to me, she made me like this!" I spoke while pointing at the woman.
"Sir, I have not a clue of what or whom you're referring to. Please, let me help you. Maybe I could be of some assistance, I can call someone if you'd like..?"
I leaned against the car tired of fighting with her, "call Richie" I said taking out my phone and giving it to her. I leaned against the car thinking about Elena and what she might be doing right now. I heard the lady talking to Richie as I continued to think about Elena. She's probably at her grandma's house now, crying on her shoulder cause of me. God I'm so stupid, Elena was good so good to me.
"Sir" the lady spoke bringing me out of my trance, "Mathew, Richard is on his way, but I'm going to stay here and make sure you do not drive okay...?" The nice woman said to me. It looks like she was trying to say something else but I cant really understand her, "Elena left me. She's never coming back. Ahhh I'm so sad" I cried, leaning on the woman for support.
She stumbled because of how heavy I seem to be for her. I sighed, "Elena is never coming back! should I go to her?"
"I-I do not know who you're referring to" she struggled with holding me up against the car.
"I'm gonna go see her" I slurred, trying to get into my car realizing that I dont have me keys,
"oh shit, I lost my keys. Lady, help me find them"
"I took them away from you. Mathew you're too drunk to even begin to comprehend what I'm even saying to you right now, let alone drive" she spoke as I realized I no longer have my bottle of scotch in my hands either, "fine then, I walk to Elena"
"Mathew, I think you should stay. Stay put and wait for Richard please"
I finally took a good look at the frail woman, she has her black hair styled in a short hair cut. She looks as if she's coming from work and I'm stopping her from going home. She's really skinny and pale too, with I believe gray eyes to match her black eye brows. I cant really tell the color of her eyes because of how dark it is out here. "H-How do you know my name?"
She sighed feeling the weight of me lifted off of her shoulders, "Richard told me"
"whats your name?"
"Melody. Melody Jenkins" she said while holding out her hand. Gosh this girl is so proper, she doesnt look a day over thirty and she speaks so well, "nice to meet you Candice"
she laughed, "its Melody"
"shhh, just listen to me..." I continued to talk but she started to walk away, "hey! Where are you going?" I slurred while turning around seeing Richie getting out of his car.
