Somebody's Knocking On Your Door

CRILP wakes up in a really comfortable bed.... Accompanied by the sound of loud banging on the door. Whoever it is, they really want him to wake up. There is even shouting from the other side of the door.

"CRILP, GET UP! YOU NEED TO HIDE QUICKLY! UNDYNE IS ABOUT TO WALK IN!" Papyrus is screaming frantically. That is unusual. He is still confused and looks around for a hiding spot. He has never heard Papyrus so scared in his life. (And he's seen him scared of a lot of things these past few days).

CRASH!

That was bad. That was a really bad sign. CRILP hears rapidly aproaching footsteps and hides in a big box full of.... dirty clothes? Oh boy. CRILP doesn't think and tries to cover himself the best he can from the obvious intruder in his temporary home before he dies or worse. He tries to calm his breathing the best he can before the door slams open.

"WHERE IS IT! WHERE IS THE HUMAN!? WHERE THE HELL IS IT!?" A pretty deep woman's voice yells. CRILP stays very still.

"UNDYNE! THE HUMAN DOES NOT MEAN ANY HARM! THEY HAVE BEEN VERY NICE AND HAVEN'T DONE ANYTHING TO HURT ANY OF US." Papyrus tries to reason with, the now named, Undyne that CRILP can currently hear rumaging through the room.

Her voice quiets down to something akin to a whisper. "Listen closely. That human is up to no good! It will kill every one of your sorry asses before you all know what in the actual hell happened!" CRILP can practically feel her anger and hatred towards himself at this point.

"HE IS NOT AN IT, UNDYNE! I AM SORRY TO DO THIS MY DEAR FRIEND, BUT I'LL HAVE TO ASK YOU TO LEAVE!" Even when Papyrus is angry and somehow even LOUDER than before, he is still kind.

"I'll leave, but I will keep an eye on your area for any untimely deaths." She sounds like she doesn't want to back down, but nevertheless, CRILP hears slow footsteps fading away and a door closing. CRILP sits there, processing what just happened.

"YOU CAN COME OUT NOW, CRILP. SHE WILL NOT BOTHER US FOR AT LEAST A FEW MORE DAYS." He sounds upset about what just happened.

CRILP unburries himself from the dirty clothes and sees a very confused Papyrus looking back at him. He looks embarrassed about him hiding in his unwashed clothes. CRILP just stands there. Then it clicks.

"OH MY GOD! I'M SO SORRY I DIDN'T MEAN TO HIDE THERE! I WAS PANICKING!" CRILP is freaking the fuck out. He just hid in his stalker's gross unclean clothes.

"IT IS ALRIGHT, CRILP. I AM A LITTLE UPSET BEACUSE I SHOULD HAVE WASHED MY CLOTHES SOONER. HENCE WHY I HAVE BEEN WEARING THE SAME OUTFIT FOR THE 4 DAYS YOU HAVE KNOWN ME. ALSO BECAUSE WE WERE TRAVELLING. I FEEL GROSS NOW... I SHALL WASH MY CLOTHES IMMEDIATLEY!" Papyrus runs out with his clothes and CRILP is confused. Papyrys was just upset about dirty clothes instead of Undyne? No that makes no sense. He might just be trying to hide it by busying himself. That seems about right. Wait...4 days?

"Ew." He says to himself.

He cleans himself and puts on his spare clothes he packed before falling down into the ruins. CRILP walks downstairs only to see Sans staring at a VERY BROKEN and VERY UNREPAIRABLE couch that seems to have been snapped in half and haphazardly thrown on the ground. That explains the crashing noise from earlier.

Sans looks like he's about to break down. CRILP walks up to him and pats him on the shoulder to get his attention. He turns around only to get a hug from CRILP. He hugs him back.

"Sorry, Sans, that's gonna cost a lot." CRILP gets  it. One time he broke his favorite necklace from one of his friends. The necklace costed $300. His friend was awesome for getting it so he HAD to get a replacement replica of the one they got. And seeing where the skeletons lived and how most of their furnature was worn down to the bone, it would be a hassle to get another couch.

"Thanks, pal. I don't we'll be able to get another one for a while. Too much bills to pay for and a little brother to take care of, ya know?" Sans still seems sad but he looks like he's in a better mood.

CRILP asks where Toriel is but she seems to have just left quote, 'to get snails from my favorite snail farm.' unquote, according to Sans.

Sans sits down against the wall facing the TV and pats the spot beside himself, hinting for CRILP to take a seat. He walks over and sits next to the skeleton. They end up watching a movie about a monster girl who is trying to find her destiny. It's actually pretty good.

A few minutes later, Papyrus walks through the door with clean laundry and a different outfit on. He actually has a normal white sweater on and some black pants with some fuzzy winter boots. It's a unique look, but it's pretty cool. He puts the laundry basket on the floor and looks up at the others.

"HELLO, SANS AND CRILP. WHAT DO YOU TWO THINK ABOUT MY OUTFIT?" His eyes do that sparkly thing again. He looks hopeful.

"You look awesome, Paps." CRILP says. Sans is silently agreeing in the background. He thinks his brother is the coolest. He smiles wider and the corners of his eyes crinkle up joyously (somehow, the skeletons can do that).

"Cool outfit, Papyrus. You look ice." Sans chuckles at his pun. And for once...Papyrus doesn't cringe and instead gives his brother and CRILP a group hug. They all laugh. Sure they might be a lot more happier than anyone with a broken ass couch after a house invasion... but they all feel at HOME right now.

..............

Toriel opens the front door quietly and walks in. On the floor she sees the boys sleeping with smiles on their faces. She looks at them with a kind smile before turning off the TV and covering them with a few blankets. She puts her groceries away, locks the door, and turns off the lights. Toriel falls asleep on an intact recliner that doesn't look too old. They all look peaceful in their sleep.

Another chapter :3 That was an emotional roller coaster. I think it was ADORABLE at the end. And I finally wrote to 1,000 words! See you soon!
