Taehyung's pov
I feel like this whole week is just gonna be a repeat of the first day, except maybe I'll get noticed by Jeongguk more . . .
Walking down the street getting the exact same mixed reactions as the previous days, strutting in through the door to the cafe hearing the exact same bell chime, walking into the coffe shop filled with chatter as the raven haired male recites the same line and stopping in the middle once he catches sight of me, this time saying, "Taehyung!" as he looks up from what he was doing.
Wait . . . Taehyung . . . That's my name. HOLY CRAP HE REMEMBERS MY NAME!
This is no time to freak out Taehyung, just keep walking towards the counter, there you go. Wait, where's Jin? WTF did he abandon me?! That son of a gun what the h*ck?!
*bzzzzzzzzz*
I took my phone out of my pocket, held a polite finger up to the awaiting male, and checked who texted me.
EommaJin
Get me a vanilla frappe
I'm taking a piss <3I'm seriously going to kill him.
I pocketed my phone and looked up at Jeongguk, his brown eyes glistening in the bright lights of the cafe. I gave him a polite smile and said, "Sorry about that."
"No problem," the younger boy said smiling back. "So Taehyung, what would you like to order?" He asked, me loving the way my name rolled off the tip of his tongue. I wonder what it would sound like waking up to that . . . Snap out of it!
"Uh yeah can I have a chai tea latte and a vanilla frappe?" I asked, my hands nervously clasping together. I'm not sure why, but I always seem to get nervous when ordering. I'm not sure if it's because of who I'm talking to or just the stress of ordering, but either way, it's nerve wracking.
"So no usual today huh?" Jeongguk asked, writing my name down on the cups and raising his eyebrows, a slight smirk on display.
"Usual?" I asked confused. What does he mean by usual?
"You know," he started, putting the cups to the side and ringing up my order, "A caramel macchiato. You've gotten one everyday this week, so I'm wondering what's with the change of heart?"
"Hm. I guess I have ordered it all week," I mumbled, scratching the nape of my neck in thought. "I guess after a while I kind of wanted to try something new. Ordering the same thing all the time gets a bit boring," I said, bring my hand down from my neck to grab my wallet.
He hummed in understanding and I handed him the money. It was at this moment that Jin decided to join us again.
"Hey Taebaby, I'm back!" He said, walking up to me where I stood at the end of the counter waiting for our drinks and putting his arm around my shoulders. At this, Jeongguk looked up from where he was making the drinks, a look of confusion on his face and maybe a hint of something else . . . But I couldn't figure out what.
Quickly it was erased with a smile as he came up and gave us our drinks, his eyes lingering on Jin a bit longer, as if he was scoping him out.
After the long glare Jin received, the younger gave me my drink with a smile and told us to have a nice day.
Jin and I sat down in the booth I had been sitting in with the others. As I sat down, I immediately looked at the receipt hoping to find another note, which I did.
You should text me some time
xxx-xxx-xxxx <3I almost spit my tea out right then and there.
"Ooh what is it?! Is it another note?! What's it say?! Give me the tea!" Jin said excitedly, leaning across the table trying to get a better look.
"Jin you ordered a frappe, I'm not giving you any of my tea, I paid for it," I said, selfishly not sharing any of it. I paid for it why should I? I also paid for his. If anything I should be getting a sip of his!
Jin looked at me with a blank expression across his face, not saying anything. Silence consumed us as a growing confusion came upon me.
"What?" I asked.
"Did you just-"
"Did I just what?"
"Do you not know what tea means?"
"I'm drinking it right now of course I know what it means!"
"No . . . Like, 'spill the tea' 'sip the tea' 'what's the tea sis?' 'Give me the tea'."
"..."
"..."
"What the hell are you talking about?" I asked, getting fed up with the elder's nonsense.
"Oh my gosh Taehyung! I thought you were the gayest out of all of us! How do you not know what that means?!"
"I'm sorry?" It came out as more of a question.
"Taetae, sweetheart, tea means secrets, or truth, or the gossip. You want tea? I'll spill some for you. Meaning: I'm going to give you the latest gossip. Got it?" He asked, staring me intently in the eyes, his hands laced together in front of him on the table.
"You're so gay," I deadpanned.
"Bish like we don't already know that!" He said, leaning back into his seat with an exasperated sigh, done with my lack of knowledge.
"So what's it say?" Jin asked with another sigh.
"What's what say?"
"The receipt, Taetae, what does the receipt say?"
"Oh, he gave me his phone number," I said nonchalantly.
Jin almost spit out his drink. "What?!" He sputtered and choked, earning a few stares from other customers.
"I said he gave me his-," I started but got interrupted.
"I know what you said!" He said exasperatedly. "But what are you going to do with it? Are you gonna text him?" He asked, excited once more.
"I mean, I guess," I said, taking a sip of my tea.
"Why aren't you freaking out?" Jin asked. "I feel like I'm freaking out more than you and it doesn't even involve me."
"Trust me," I said, "I'm freaking out. You just can't see it." On the inside, my heart was beating rapidly out of my chest and my mind was already wondering what I would say to him, when I'd text him, and what we would talk about.
