"Shut it up~," he groaned.
"You shut it up," the other retorted lazily.
"I swear on your mother if you don't shut that fricken thing u-"
"There! Happy?!"
"Yes."
This was just an average morning brawl for the two boys.
Taehyung, plopping himself on Jungkook's stretched out arm, had just done the dreadful job of turning off the alarm clock, now moving to throw one of his arms over his best friend's chest.
It was normal for the two to sleep over at each other's houses, school nights or weekends, they were together, rarely sleeping alone. I guess that's what it means when you have such a close relationship with some one...and you're neighbors.
"Okay, come on," Taehyung said, patting Jungkook's warm chest a couple times, urging the other to get out of bed before slowly lifting himself out of the sheets.
"Ngghhhhh," Jungkook groaned, trying to pull Taehyung back down with his eyes still closed; he refused to acknowledge that it was time to get ready for school. "One more minute," he grumbled out, having succeeded in pulling Taehyung down, wrapping his arms around the slightly older male and snuggling his face into the other's warm neck.
"Kook we have to go~," Taehyung whined, nevertheless, wrapping his arms around his friend's muscular back, returning the younger's desperate clinging you could more or less call a hug.
The only way you could describe the groan that came out of Jungkook's mouth is by listening to a walrus being strangled by a hippo. It was ugly, to say the least.
After a couple of minutes, Taehyung was able to coax the younger out of bed and bring him to the bathroom to wash up before school.
"Toothbrush," Taehyung stated as he held out Jungkook's green toothbrush in front of him, the latter accepting it quite slowly. Grabbing the toothpaste and his own brush, he squeezed some of the minty paste onto the bristles, then reached over to the sleepy male beside him and did the same, both starting to brush their teeth.
"I hate Thursdays," Jungkook mumbled past the toothbrush, bending over to spit the toothpaste in the sink and cupping his hands to capture the cool water, bringing it up to his lips to rinse out his mouth.
"Me too," Taehyung agreed, doing the same thing that Jungkook had just done. "But hey, tomorrow's Friday, and you know what that means?" Taehyung said suggestively, raising his eyebrows.
"Of course I do!" Jungkook said happily, wrapping his arms around the slightly skinnier male's waist from behind, swaying the two from side to side. Taehyung cover's his friend's arms that are around his waist with his own hands, locking eyes with the younger in the mirror.
Friday, the day they both get to perform. Taehyung, with the marching band, and Jungkook, with the rest of his football team. It's odd, yes, that a football player, a jock, per say, would be friends with a band nerd, but they loved each other nonetheless...Platonically, of course.
"Are you nervous?" Taehyung asked, breaking off from the hug and looking into the other's eyes. Warm and brown, with a splash of gold, Taehyung's favorite.
"Nope," he responded, popping the 'p'. "Are you? It's the first game of the season...I know you guys worked hard on the show."
Taehyung leaned against the sink, thinking. Was he nervous? A little bit. But the band put so much work into the show over the summer; he knew they were ready.
"No," Tae said, shaking his head, "I know we'll do great." A smile starts to take over his face. "I mean, someone has to give the audience a show worth coming for. We all know the football team isn't doing it-" Taehyung was cut off with a gasp as Jungkook charged at him, throwing him over his shoulder and carrying him out of the bathroom, throwing him onto the bed.
"Take that back," Jungkook said, crossing his arms and pouting from where he stood next to the bed, hovering over Taehyung's chuckling self.
"Never," the older said, giggling at the cute little pout adorning the other's face.
"Tae~" Jungkook whined, kneeling next to the bed and putting his face closer to the other's.
Taehyung could barely withstand the boy and his big doe eyes, lips turned down, waiting for Taehyung to take back the words he said, wanting to make sure he didn't actually mean it.
Taehyung cooed and brought his hand up to run his fingers through Jungkook's hair. "Awww did that hurt your feelings? Your big ego?"
Jungkook pouted even more, as if that was even possible, and dropped his head on Taehyung's chest, whining.
"Kook, I was just kidding. You know I love watching you play; you're going to do great tomorrow, no doubt," Taehyung comforted the whiny boy, petting his hair and reassuring him that he was joking.
Jungkook lifted his head from his best friend's chest, looking up with hopeful eyes and a small, bunny-like smile on his face. "Do you mean it?" he said in a small voice, no trace of him ever being a big, brooding jock like how he appears at school.
"Of course I do. Now let's go to school."
