I was lounging in the cafe earlier finishing up an assignment on my computer. When I was finally able to finish and send my essay to the professor, I decided to get out a pen.The weather was nice today, the sun shining brightly through the cafe windows. I was wearing short sleeves and shorts, showing off the open roses on my forearm drawn by my soulmate.
I hadn't drawn anything on my thigh that day, so I decided to start.
I first drew the outline of a diamond, shading it and adding depth to make it a more realistic looking star. Around it I added more stars, smaller in size.
I kept adding on until the front of my thigh was fully covered. As I was about to add the quote I heard the door jingle open, signaling that a new customer has arrived.
I looked up and was about to look away and dismiss the tall man when I saw ink on his forearm.
It was usual for someone to have ink on them from communicating with their soulmate, but this one caught my eye.
On his forearm was a beautiful rose. On his leg was a wondrous galaxy.
He seemed to notice my gaze and the pen in my hand near my thigh.
His eyes widened in shock. I can assume I looked the same way.
He came over to me and put out his forearm. I put out mine as well.
There laid the same beautiful rose covered in thorns. I moved my thigh out from under the table so it was visible. He slightly pulled up his shorts revealing the same stars I had just finished drawing.
"Jeongguk?" He asked.
"Taehyung?" I asked at the same time.
I stood up and we both nodded.
So this was my soulmate. This was the man I was supposed to meet.
The next thing I knew I was in his embrace. He was so warm, so perfect. I could be in his embrace forever, and never get tired of the feeling.
This was the moment I had been waiting for my whole life. And it was worth the wait.
